Not saying this is absolutly a done deal.... But I am watching Espn and they just had a news flash that Kurt Thomas is on his way to the Spurs. They are making the trade call now.

Good then maybe we will get Wilcox. I like him better. Nothing may happen but I really was'nt in favor of Kurt Thomas.

Interesting note in the Yahoo article:
"The Sonics, who also considered an offer from the Orlando Magic for Thomas, have now generated three first-round draft picks from Rashard Lewis

Thomas to me is a clone of something we already have in Battie. I can see why we didn't make the deal, and honestly I don't think Thomas is worth a first round pick.

Thomas has more junk yard dog in him, has a better knack for rebounding and plays a more classic style of ball, which may or may not include dirty fouls if those types of things exist...

Yeah no point giving up a first round pick for a 3 month rental until Battie gets back... so looks like we got out bid.
It was always going to be hard to trade with them unless we wanted to take one of their overpaid PG's...

Spurs acquire Thomas from Sonics for Barry, Elson
By Johnny Ludden, Yahoo! Sports 21 minutes ago
The San Antonio Spurs have reached agreement with the SuperSonics that will bring them center Kurt Thomas in exchange for guard Brent Barry, center Francisco Elson and a 2009 first-round draft pick, league sources said Wednesday.
The teams are in the process of finalizing the deal with league officials.

Sene/Elson/Wilcox/Collison/Swift/Petro......
Hopefully we can get Wilcox.
