ESPN Magic report
Right now on ESPN they have a trade deadline special and they just took a question about the Magic. They basically just said that they were trying to get Kurt Thomas but they were not able to get him. Also it doesn't look like they are going to make any deals before the deadline

Oh well, first or second round exit. It'll be a lot of fun seeing Brian Cook/Foyle laughed at.

Sorry man, but I won't. I'm sorry but I just can't understand why a **** of expirings (and quite a few millions from players that can't even crack our rotation) can't land us some help. I'm not asking for a blockbuster deal, but a guy that can at least rebound would be a priority for the playoffs.
We let these contracts expire and our only chances to improve are picks in the low 20's and the MLE. I really don't like it.

this is what otis will tell the sentinel as to why no trades were made:
"I like our team the way it is. Also, I feel that there were no moves out there that made basketball sense for me to make. Furthermore, I wasn't just going to make a move for the sake of making a move, we tried and we talked to Seattle about a couple of players, but that was shot down, and since then there has been nothing out there that I really saw would improve our team long term"

What scared me was if Smith would have done something..........
Can you explain me why? Do you agree with that?
Just to think that in the next 5 years we can only sign a player with the MLE, it's kind of scary...
I don't understand what Otis is doing. If he thinks that because of Dwight, a lot of players will sign with us for the minimum, he's dreaming.

Reports are that other teams wanted Hedo and/or picks. That seems to be too high of a price.

I believe I understand craig. He didn't say he was agreeing on nothing being done. He just stated that he would be amazed of watching Otis make a move. And from what I recall he's not a Otis hater.

I got to tell you...for the right deal, I would have to think about moving Hedo. I love him, but his stock will never be higher and he will want too much money after his deal is up. I'm sure Otis has thought about everything though that can make this team better...wait...probably more like the opposite.

Exactly, this is upsetting to me.
Besides the draft and the MLE, those expirings are (for the next 20 mins)/were a way to improve this team, even minimally.
Isn't the main goal to win a championship? This current roster isn't going to do that, IMO.

Yeah but not all teams. When i see all those teams getting good players for nearly nothing, we should be able to make a fair package of expirings. There are at least 7 to 8 teams looking to rebuild.
We shouldn't make a trade for the sake of it but we have a lot of options to have a fair trade.
