Will the Magic make a pickup before the playoffs?

I have heard several analysts saying that anywhere from 5-10 or more teams are going to waive or buyout at least one guy...do you think the Magic pickup a guy like Smush/Flip/Justin Williams etc?
now that Battie has fallen through, and we weren't able to add a little more big man depth, I could probably see Otis trying to do this, but then again doing so would contradict his previously made comments about quick fixes, so I'm on the fence because one never knows with Otie...

"That would cost money and I never spend money. I don't know if you know this, but I have a history of being an extremely frugal GM."
..."Oh, and I like our team."

well I guess it's pretty hard not to have a conversation like this without the Otis hate...
supposedly guys like Barry who just got traded are going to get waived, apparently he's not the only one, they are saying that several of the players that have moved in the last 48 hours are said to be getting waived and not all are going back to their original teams...

i'm not saying go after Barry, i was just using examples..besides Barry will probably go back to the Spurs...but if a guy like Smush or Flip gets waived, we should go for them...or if a young athletic big man gets the axe, we need to grab them...those young kids like Williams are basically just foul machines, but they bring hustle for the most part and we could use the depth...Smush and Flip both play decent to good defense and have playoff experience...

a big with hustle could really make an impact on this team ... because we just need a guy that is active on the boards when dwight is outta the game..... hopefully someone comes up that can help ... maybe otis knows something we dont??

Kings might release Wright, Knicks might Rose let go. Any other bigs that possibly will be available?

Sacramento is expected to waive either Lorenzen Wright or Anthony Johnson, and possibly both. I'd take either of 'em.

I heard Justin Williams from the Kings, Shawne Williams and or David Harrison from the Pacers, Flip Murray from Detroit and Smush from Miami...plus my boy Courtney Sims is still out there...

Otis: No, I like our team, I might have to waive Pat Garrity or Arroyo - I like our team.
Sorry - can't participate in this discussion after the IDIOTIC non-move yesterday - Otis Failed.

defensively he would help but I saw him go 0 for 11 in some game before he got shipped. We should look for a big.

Harrison is a banger that could be useful during the playoffs.

Jamaal Magloire could be up for a buyout as well according to Aldridge...that wouldnt be a bad pickup at all..the more athletic (slightly) version of Foyle...

I've asked a couple of times, still no reply:
What ever happened to Wayne Simien? Miami was really high on him.
Fazekas from Dallas was waived.
Elton Brown is dominating the D-League, does he belong to a team?

lol all these bigs coming out of nowhere, if we're able to get one of them, then inactivity at the deadline isnt that big a deal...

Simien is injured, and stays injured...he was waived at the begining of the season or right before...
Fazekas is no more than Brian Cook + James Augustine combined IMO...
Elton Brown is my man and he's locked up with the Colorado whatever the hells...when we talked about a month ago he thought the Raptors were going to call him up..so watch out for that...because he's serious business...
