If we chose to use our MLE on a SG, what do you guys think of the prospect of having him on our team next year?

I can tell you that he is prob now worth more than 2 mill right now.

we have to address team needs. SG isn't top priority

2mil? isnt the MLE worth 5?

I can see him turning into a Stephen jackson type player.
Good defender, good outside shot. slashes to get to the basket often.

Are you saying that you would give this guy the MLE this summer? What has he shown for him to demand that type of money? Damm man.

If he's done nothing to get the whole MLE, then why would u say this?

I think he's definitely worth Half of it. And as you've said.. he's done nothing, so he will come cheap.

And contrary to many of you on the board.. i DO think SG is our major weakness. All these guys leaving, we need to fill the spot with somebody proper like Wright. He is easily better than Bogans, or Evans.

The PF spot will take care of itself with Battie returning, and the draft, and possibly fran.

i'm implying that hes a Trevor clone that plays offense like Trevor plays defense, and that's about all he does...just like Trevor...he has energy and he can dunk...just like Trevor...lot's of potential, buuutttt...

Better than Bogans, maybe. Easily better? Prob not. Better than Evans? I doubt it.

He's saying that Wright is probably not worth more than 2 mil, let alone 5 mil.

The question is if Antoine Wright is a better player than Bogans and Evans. That is not obvious to me.

The MLE this year will most likely be more near 6mil... and to be honest I REALLY REALLY think IF we get a SG with the MLE it'll be Maggette, why? The man wanted to come back to Orlando, as Kidd said we will be a FA destination for years to come.. Paying Maggette MLE is jsut shy of what his actualy contract should be. I have this feeling bogans opts out, We don't re-sign Arroyo, and if a deal comes along we wither Sign and trade Dooling OR Evans for a decent big.

But, I doubt we go after a SG with the MLE, Otis seems to have faith galore in JJ and Evans is doing a fabulous job. The MLE is going to go after a big or a point.. plain and simple.. and Antoine Wright? with our MLE? WHAT?

Childress and Artest are both slated to get about the MLE...im just saying...Mags is nice, but the Clips love that guy...

if it's me, my game plan looks like this...take the MLE and shoot for Calderon first, he probably signs with Toronto for more than the MLE and he gets a guaranteed starting spot with them. So I move on to Antwan Jamison...if that goes south then I head to the Childress, Artest and Mags kind of guys...and if all else fails shoot for James Posey and Roger Mason or a big guy...

Question i have is who's staying from our front line... Adonal, Gortat and Auggie are all up. Who are we keeping? My guess is Adonal and Gortat?

only Auggie is up this year...

I think Calderon is playing himself past the MLE.

Artest should get more than the MLE. Someone will overpay.
