There's only a couple of things that Magic can do to in Prove the Team in the Offseason

1. The Draft: Orlando's 1st this year will be anywhere from 18 to 24. We can go 2 routes 1st one is Plan A and 2nd 1 is Plan B. 1st I think with so many good Guards coming out that Magic can Steal a True PG who can play great D. Answer: Darren Collison is one who can really help this team and  Otis draft's him.. Plan B Draft Big If he comes out Tyler Hansbrough would be Idea, Kevin Love would 2.

2. Free Agency: MLE LLE and Mins our ways to help our Team Plan A 4 the MLE DeSagana Diop, (Still young and Great Size I think he will be worth the MLE at Least) Plan B: Jamario Moon, Paul Millsap, Brandon Bass. LLE plan A Chris Duhon, Plan B Demetris Nichols

Magic line up looking somethan like this

C:Howard/ Fran
PF Bass/Battie
SF Lewis/Nichols
SG Turk/JJ
PG Collison/Nelson/Duhon

Kwame Brown What was I thinking :nonono:

Why were we so reluctant to deal it before the deadline?

Picks carry no $$ value, so we'll have to trade someone along with the pick, unless we trade pick for pick.

As far as the offseason goes, we need to bring back Mo Evans and Keyon Dooling.....while finding a way to get rid of Bogans. Both Keyon and Mo are legit backups for a contending team and players we really need to hold onto. I also say we try to trade Bogans so we can free up time for JJ.

As far as this offseason, it looks like we may finally have Franny. If that's the case then we have a backup Center for Dwight. It would be nice to get someone like Diop if at all possible, but really if we did he too would just be a backup since he doesnt have a jump shot and is probably just a homeless man's Dwight Howard.

I like the idea of Bass, however same thing as with Diop, he would be a backup big in our rotation.

The ideal situation is to get a starting PF this offseason so that the lineup can shift with Rashard going back to SF and Hedo shifting too the two. if thats the case then the team will be in good shape. Surprisingly I do not believe we are that far off from being legitimate contenders.

Nelson/Dooling/draft pick
Hedo/JJ
Rashard/Evans
(free agent)/Battie/Cook
Howard/Fran/Marcin

I think a starting power forward should be the priority this off season.

im just spit balling here, but i'm thinking that Otis is intending on packaging it with someone and trying to move down a spot or 2 or trade for someone straight up...it's going to be hard to draft a quality 1,4 or 5 at the 20+ range unless we go for a project...so I think Otis was dead set on making a draft day deal and that's why he's holding onto the pick...just my $.02

Gotcha

I'm hoping there's some method behind the madness.

Here is what I'm thinking will happen:

With our MLE, we will most likely go for a swingman. Hopefully we will go for a Maggette (doubtful), Artest (doubtful), or Childress. If this doesn't go down, we will probably go for bench depth, I'm thinking resign Mo Evans, Keyon, and get a vet big.

I think we will keep our draft pick. Obviously our biggest need is a big who is complementary to Dwight, and there are a lot of bigs in the draft. I am praying to God everyday that Kevin Love hopefully drops to us, but a more likely player would be Andrew Ogilvy. If not, Darren Collison would be great.

Here is my list of players who I want, and who we could get:

1) Kevin Love (very unlikely)
2) Darrell Arthur (again, unlikely)
3) Ryan Anderson (very possible, and likely due to his 3-point shooting)
4) Ogilvy
5) Collison

Hansbrough is Sean May 2.0. No jumper, undersized and gets by by bullying smaller college players. DJ White, DeVon Hardin, Kyle Weaver, Brandon Rush, Bill Walker. Those are the guys we should key on in the draft.

DraftExpress.com has Darren Collison to the Magic at 20. I think he might go higher like 15 but I Think we can trade up or Maybe he falls to us

Mo Evans and Dooling are definite keepers. Bogans isn't. we have to find a way to clear Bogans off the books.

Childress and Duhon are the two backcourt additions i'd like to see the Magic make with the MLE + LLE.

if we added those guys we'd have the room to trade JJ away (too much backcourt depth), we could package him with our 1st rounder and the rights to Fran to hopefully move up a few places in the draft to get a solid big man, or trade for a big man on another team (Wilcox, Collison, Noah, Sheldon Williams, etc)

i've got serious concerns about pinning our front court hopes on Battie's successful return next season. he's old. he's coming off of shoulder surgery. we need a young backup to replace him eventually.

I hope we trade Fran to move up in the draft if possible. There is just too much bad blood.

Draft either PG, SG or PF. Some players that could really help our team: Darren Collison, Patrick Patterson, Kevin Love, Darrel Arthur, Nicolas Batum, Chris Douglas-Roberts.

I'm praying that one of those falls to where we can trade to. I'd love to get a Goran Dragic with a second rounder.

Priority of Use of MLE for me:
1) Childress
2) Bass
3) Diop
4) Kelenna
5) Nachbar
6) Vujacic

If someone would be so kind to provide a list of players available this offseason.....

In any case, I agree about not requiring Bogans anymore. He has always been an okay shooter, but not consistent enough. I am thinking a taller, longer athlete would be useful. So Childress is a good suggestion.

I say waive Foyle, he is done. Plus we are getting Battie back hopefully, and Fran is coming over hopefully. That should be 2 athletic 6'11 guys who can jump. We might even give Gortat a chance. Although those guys are all a bit skinny, we still need that Jason Maxiell type.

We should probably draft a project point guard with potential.

Bogans OPT out? are you serious? haha...he stands to make way more money with the Magic if he sticks around, they will probably re-sign him to a new deal...Loyalty baby, loyalty...
