Umm well nothing much going on with magic forum today, so I thought about a topic to talk about. Now that Dwight has become IMO a top 5 NBA player I was wondering what your opinion was if there was to be an NBA draft involving all NBA players and all 30 NBA teams what would the 1st round look like?
IMO something like this.
1.LeBron James
2.Dwight Howard (sorry I am a Magic fan)
3.Yao Ming
4.Chris Paul
5.Dwayne Wade
6.Chris Bosh
7.Kobe Bryant
8.Steve Nash
9.Kevin Garnett
10.Tim Duncan
11.Deron Williams
12.Dirk Nowitzki
13.Carmelo Anthony
14.Al Jefferson
15.Andrew Bynum
16.Gilbert Arenas
17.Amare Stoudamire
18.Carlos Boozer
19.Baron Davis
20.Brandon Roy
21.Jason Kidd
22.Caron Butler
23.Elton Brand (healthy would probably be higher)
24.Allen Iverson
25.Chauncy Billups
26.Joe Johnson
27.Jermaine O'neal
28.Andre Iguadala
29.Luol Deng
30.Paul Pierce

4. Chris Paul
5. Dwayne Wade
6. Chris Bosh
7. Kobe Bryant
8. Carmelo Anthony
9. Deron Williams
10. Greg Oden
11. Amare Stoudamire
12. Kevin Durant
13. Kevin Garnett
14. Dirk Nowitzki
15. Andrew Bynum
16. Al Jefferson
17. Carlos Boozer
18. Brandon Roy
19. Gilbert Arenas
20. LaMarcus Aldridge
21. Tim Duncan
22. Caron Butler
23. Rudy Gay
24. Elton Brand
25. Joe Johnson
26. Steve Nash
27. Emeka Okafor
28. Kevin Martin
29. Jose Calderon
30. Monte Ellis

I'm not doing this list, but anyone would be insane to not take Dwight in the first 3 picks.

I didnt list Oden because he hasnt played yet and I am not sure people would take an unproven player over a KG Duncan Dirk etc.

A real homer would have Hedo in the top 30.

Oden would definitely be there. Even if he hasn't played a game, his potential is incredibly high, and GMs love that.

Oh I know that but you really think a GM if put in this possition would take an unproven Oden over say...Jamison, Joe Johnson, or even Rashard Lewis type player? remember no contract

In a lot of GM circles Dwight would be taken over Lebron due to him being a once in a lifetime big man.

As opposed to being a once in a lifetime "do everything" man?
Lebron > Howard until Howard really really improves.

Nice to see the Wade hype has died down I live in south FL and all my friends are heat fan cant stand it when they tell me they would take Wade over DH. But I think most people would take Dwight over Dwayne on this list.

Dwayne is exceptional, but at this point injury worries have kicked in. He plays such a 'dangerous' style.
If we had a crystal ball saying he'd stay healthy (as would Dwight) it'd be a tough call.

That AND people are starting to realize the guy isn't a "superstar", because "superstars" don't lose 15 straight games, or have a team with the worse record in the league. Wade is the most overated player in the NBA, then again this is all IMHO.

I agree...Dwanye Wade is overrated and has been ever since Shaq stepped foot in Miami.
Also hes gained significant weight and is visibly less athletic than he was before...And much of his game relied on his athletic ability.
But TMac lost more then 15 straight, but i dont think anyone questioned his talent...Just the talent of his team...And his heart.

Every GM in the league would trade Jamison and Joe Johnson together for Oden, even after the injury.

Then I am glad Otis is our GM, because it would be foolish not to.

Well you do have a point there but I think we can ALL agree the problem with T-Mac and his cousin Vince has alllllllllways been the lack of heart they have, the fact they never cared about a game and how they never really tried on defense and in cases on offense as well. However with Wade its just lack of skill IMO. The guy isnt a superstar the league is just hyping him so that the "Miami" Heat would get recognition. Stern's dream is for Miami, LA, NY all to be competitive.

Greg Oden and Kevin Durant would definitely be in the top 10!! Dwight, LeBron and Chris Paul would be in the top 3 imo.
