Free Agents the Orlando Magic MUST take a look at this summer:

Baron Davis
Josh Smith
Mickael Pietrus
Jermaine Oneal
Shaun Livingston
Gilbert Arenas

Just think of the possibilities.

We won't be able to afford any of these guy's without a sign n trade, but it's possable. More than likely you have to look at a 4 to 6 million per year player.

I'm pretty sure all of them are RFA. Plus the only ones I would be interested in are Arenas and Davis, both guys that will likely play in the West.

Orlando will try to sign a nice player for the MLE, we will not be in any kind of shape to sign a superstar.

they can't afford any of them with the MLE. There not going to be any sign and trades for that kind of talent. Although I'm not sure how Pietrus and Livingston got in a group with Baron Davis and Gilbert Arenas.

what the hell is this? have we suddenly become the Orlando Knicks? just because there will be big names out there, doesn't mean that they will be linked in any way to the Magic other than through its fan's fantasies.

Baron Davis would interest me the most. I believe next year our front court will be much more solid than this year by having Battie back and may be Fran here. The other big hole will be our pg. And boy Baron will fill that hole nicely.

A decent SG is likely to be found, and it should be an upgrade at starter. From there, the PF slot will be the main issue.

BDiddy's contract will be much more than MLE.

Of that list, the most attainable would be MP to play at the 2.

Are we even sure that Pietrus can play? I would hate to throw the MLE at him and then have him be Larry Hughes. Another option would be to offer Jamison our entire Mid Level Exception. I still think taht this team needs a low post scorer on this team that we can throw it in to when we need a basket. This si how the Pistons used to use Corliss Williamson to get control when the other team was making a run. Right now we don't have that automatic scorer to lean on when the jump shots aren't falling. The best one available in the NBA is Zach Randolph, but I guess Jamison would be worth a look.

Resign Dooling and Evans.

Use JJ to move up on draft day and get Darren Collison.

Then sign Childress with MLE and Diop with LLE.

Call it an offseason.

Jameer/Collison/Dooling
Childress/Evans/Dooling
Rashard/Hedo/Bogans
Battie/Fran/Cook
Dwight/Diop/Gortat

I think he was being sarcastic. Besides, we have the super duper star Shard Lewis making 120 million. He's all we need right? Franchise player.. I mean.. Since we signed him we can just bank on Shard being our go to guy.

Childress is a stud...I hope we can sign him for the MLE.

ATL would match in a heart beat so thats wishful thinking. JJ has little to no real value because he cant get playing time to be showcased. Diop is looking at MLE and up.
