I always liked 'Chairman of the Boards', but it never stuck.
Has that '80s nickname ring to it. Nicknames nowadays always have to be so short.

Nothing has stuck thus far.. and nothing ever will. It's too late in the game for him to suddenly have a nick..

^^^ Nothing has stuck.
Superman seems pretty good though.
Names like Daily Double and D12 are just awful.

The dude that writes the daily dime on Fox has been pushing the Centaur for years now, but it doesn't really roll off the tongue.
This is a little OT, but I remember it being mentioned earlier in the season that only one or two players in the history of the league have averaged 20pts, 60% shooting and 15 boards in a season (I think Wilt was the only one to do it). Obviously Dwight has been close all season, and currently has two out of three with his boards at 14.4.
Does anyone think he can do it this season, and who knows how many boards he needs to average a game to get up to 15?

I think it is, but we'll see if it sticks.
Are non-Magic fans using it? That's the real test.
I don't typically pay attention to things like Sportscenter, so I wouldn't know.

Yeah, it's "Superman" now. Our announcers call him that. Other team's announcers call him that. People at NBA TV, ESPN, etc. call him that.

It's infinitely better than "Deebo" or "D12", IMO.
I don't see what's wrong with Superman, it's not too corny.
All you have to do is think of it in its original Nietzschean context.
Dwight Howard is literally the next step forward in human history.

Also, his team handing out posters of his Superman dunk and playing Superman music for him.
