 I just got an Amber Alert and was asked to forward it to friends. It played on my heart strings as a father of three duaghters. I thought I was doing a good thing but it turned out to be a hoax. It didnt spread a virus or anything. It apparently was some joke to see if or how long a message could circulate before it made it back to the original sick &*%^$ who thought this was funny. Unfortunately I wont believe any future Amber Alerts now. If you get one on your eMail go online to check the Alert before sending it out to others.

It breaks my heart to know that there are people out there that would make a joke out of something so horrific. If any of our daughters were lost could we still trust the internet to help? I hope so... :noway:

Missing child system. You see them in mailings and e-mail and even sometimes on the automated traffic information signs on I-4 if they have a license plate number to be on the look out for. It's named for a girl named Amber Hagerman.

That is pretty despicable, surf. I have young brothers and sisters and if I ever found out someone was using their information for assenine game like this, you'd better believe I'd hunt them down.

An Amber Alert is in Florida when a child goes missing it is a STate wide notice to be on the look out for the child. It will appear on TV on the radio and on the Highway Information Signs for that purpose.

Not trying to be funny, but i thought it was some sort of allergy alert, like allergy season or something like that.

Whoever this waste of oxygen is who did this needs to be hit hard by the justice system. Anyone who does that and as a result the system gets dilluted needs to be tramped by bulls and set on fire. It's just amazing that there are these types out there. The same type of people filed fraudulant insurance claims during Katrina and the aftermath of September 11th.
