After flirting with retirement for years, Brett Favre means it this time. The Green Bay Packers quarterback quit after a 17-season career in which he dazzled fans with his grit, heart and rocket of an arm.

i thought this was a wade/barkley commercial lol....but yeah very surprising, but i do think he'll be back, he's too good to retire...he's tired now, but give him an off season...he'll be back, maybe not as a starter and maybe not with the packers, but he'll be back with a contender

he's was great this year.
the packers should be a good team next year if the young guys improve and Aaron Rodgers doesn't suck horribly.

Yeah he had such a bad year ... lots of picks.
I'm going to miss his youthful enthusiasm.

green bay has always been my nfc squad, its sad to see him go. but i think its better this way, they wouldn't get as far next year. I mean he threw an INT, IN OT, AT GREENBAY. thats a bad omen if he were to come back. he has his ring, goin down as one the top 5 QB's ever, let him ride off into the sunset

As a Packers fan i would say: Thank you for everything, Favre.
