Okay so, I love the way this team is built, but we all know there are holes to fix....

I have a few thoughts on how this summer should kind of go.

First off,

Re-sign: Dooling
Evans
Let walk: Pat
Arroyo
Auggie
Bogans(If he opts out)
Foyle (If he opts to retire)
Sign: Childress (MLE)
Jason Williams LLE
Lorenzon Wright LLE

Buy out Fran's contract

Trade: Fran or JJ + Future First to Phx for their first(from ATL)

Draft: Roy Hibbert[7'2" C](phx pick)
Tyler Smith[6'7" SG/SF]


08/09 Roster

Nelson/Williams/Dooling
Childress/Evans/Redick
Lewis/Smith

lets hope Fran. And you can't let Pat go, he's part of the damn building. I could really see like Pat garrity being some kind of ghost from ORL past, he's really dead he just doesn't know it so he just hangs around. If you asked SVG who pat was he'd be like "what? pat garrity? didn't he die after dunking on Dalembert?" Garrity is gonna have his ashes placed underneath the new arena

You forgot about Battie.....

Overall, I like it.

My ideal summer would involve a long lost relative in Europe being Euro billionare and I'm the sole inheritor, buying the Magic and being a "RealGM"

Seriously - looks like a good plan.

Not bashing your idea at all, in fact I like it. But does any else just get sick of reading and re-reading all of these ideas. Its just rehashing or reconstructing someone elses ideas. I guess it just gets dull and boring to me. I know its a basketball forum, but for posting on this site for quit a while now, I almost want to just talk about other stuff as well.

I like it but i would change a few things:

1) Instead of drafting Hibbert, I'd move up our pick and Draft the UCLA PG collison.

2) Fran isnt likely coming over. If he does. Great, if not so what.

My ideal summer is a free trip to Hawaii, all expenses paid, and when I come back, it is all over the news that the Magic have become the BIG 12.

Foyle is certain to return next year. And Bogans might be foolish to opt out; but he's still a trade candidate and I do not favor his odds of playing for Orlando next year.

I agree that it will be difficult to resign Arroyo, and that Augustine has null chance of getting a new contract.

I also agree that Dooling is a key to the off-season.

Why are we buying out Fran's contract when we could use it in a trade later? He's not costing us any money right now, so there's no real need to buy it out.

The Magic have to negotiate a buyout with Fran's wife/lord/dictator before they negotiate with Barca.
