Would we beat the Wizards in the first round?

When Gilbert and Caron get back this is gonna be a tough team to beat, their one of the teams I dont want us to play first round, there a deep team when there healthy and dont match well with us. Arenas will shoot over Jameer plenty of times quite easily. Hedo matched up with Caron a great defender

Arenas--- Jameer
Deshawn--- Evans
Butler--- Turk
Jamison--- Rashard
Thomas/Haywood--- Dwight

I think we would win in 6 because of Dwights confidence of passing out of the double teams and solid benchplay (Bogans and Dooling)

5. When we want to, we can steam roll anyone. I'm not convinced that Habachi will be back in time to have a big playoff impact.

Either way, I don't us facing them in the 1st round.

after long absense, they wont be playing in harmony. they wont have enough time to get into form. whoever wizards face in the first round, they will loose in 4/5.

Do you guys start these threads because you enjoy flame wars with the fans of other teams?

Butler is more key than Arenas. In any event, neither is likely to be 100% and at home the Magic would be favored anyhow.

I vote the Magic in 5.

is there any team we want to play in the first round? all 8 teams who make the playoffs are dangerous and have at least one guy who can kill any team. whether we play the Wizards, 76ers, Cavs, Raptors, Hawks, etc. etc., I am still afraid of them

I would prefer to play the Wizards with Arenas then to play them without him.

They are a better team without Arenas.

It's like people think that Arenas is magically going to come back and plays as well as he did last year.

Not just him, but the team would have to readjust to having back after playing without him for a vast majority of the season.

Plus Butler would be affected by his return as well.

Considering the Magic would have home court advantage, and considering the two players coming back would be rusty, I'd expect the Magic to win the series.

The Wiz should be a better team once again next season with Arenas/Butler back, however.

Assuming Arenas comes back...

Gilbert Arenas isn't the PG I'm worrying about...

Roger Mason & Antonio Daniels have been incredible this season. And if Gilbert comes back at 50% that's more than enough ...

If this series happens, I think Keyon and Hedo will get a lot of minutes in the backcourt...

Once Arenas comes back, the PG spot will be of lesser importance as the offense seems to go Agent Zero.

Yea, we'd beat them in 5 or 6 games. I wasn't confident before, but having watched the strides this team has made, I am certain they aren't going to lose a 7 game series to any of those lower teams. And whoever we play in the second round, is going to have their hands full.

Magic in 3! Just because we would be the lead domination in dominating all teams!!!!!!

The Magic have always been competitive with Washington, we match up pretty well, with both teams having a big advantage in one area.

Even when we were sucking in the last two years we were even with them, so I expect us to be able to handle the Wizards, Gilbert or no GIlbert. Although I dont see them playing Gil in the playoffs, he has openly stated his intent to leave, that alone would couse me to believe he wont play.
