JJ+2008 pick for Javaris Crittenton
Memphis need to move one of their 3 PG,javaris would be perfect here he has tremendous combination of size, athleticism and playmaking ability
i don't see any better PG available to us for that price,we won't get a better guy with our late 1st,so packaging JJ(whom we don't use) and our pick is a no brainer.
He has the tool to become a good PG ,who won't get abused by tall PG (weakness of our team)
off season move
resign doolong+evans
MLE to Pietrus
try to bring over Fran
PG:Nelson,dooling,Crittenton
SG:Evans,pietrus,bogans
SF:hedo,(Lewis) (bogans)(fran)
PF:Lewis,cook (battie),fran
C:Howard,battie,foyle,gortat

I back it. His Dwight connection might even allow us to trade Jameer

I wouldn't mind that trade. He's a combo guard, not a pure PG, but he has size and skills to become a good one. He's still a raw prospect, but he could be a nice piece here.
About Pietrus... meh.. I'd rather spend the MLE getting a PF and sliding Hedo to the SG slot.

I dont see this happening until we figure out what the hell is going on with our SGs next year. I think this is the main reason why Otis would not trade JJ. Cause if our SGs leave after this year, we atleast have JJ and Bogans locked up for another year. Which would than allow us to draft a decent PF. Now unless we can make a draft day trade to help us with either a better SG or PF I highly doubt we trade JJ.

I like it, but I dont think its what we need. Our lineup this season of Meer, Evans, Hedo, Lewis, Dwight... is really good.. but its not great. If we make any moves in the offseason I hope its one that gives us a different starting lineup.. something more like this...
1-Jameer
2-FA/Hedo
3-Lewis or Hedo
4-FA/Lewis
5-Dwight
Basically, I want to see Hedo at the 2 and Lewis at 3 with a strong PF, or Lewis at 4, Hedo at 3 and bring in a SG. I dont think a PG is the answer at this point unless it were someone amazing.. I like Crittenton.. but hes not getting us anywhere soon

why would u want to change our starting line up?
i like our SG: evans+bogans r a decent combo
critterion would ahve time to develop behind nelson+dooling
our PF position will be fine with lewis+battie+cook sharing the minutes
PG:Nelson,dooling,Crittenton
SG:Evans,pietrus,bogans
SF:hedo,(Lewis) (bogans)(fran)
PF:Lewis,cook (battie),fran
C:Howard,battie,foyle,gortat

Not a bad trade at all. But like mentioned above PF is a bigger priority IMO we should just trade Hedo while his value is high. Get a guy like Al Harrington, or Channing Frye. While we package Hedo we can probably get someone on the side.

I think JJ and the 2008 first could get us A LOT more than just Jarvis.
I think it could move us up in the draft enough to draft Collison Outta UCLA.
Nelson, Collison, Dooling
Childress, Bogans, (Dooling)
Hedo, Evans
Lewis, Cook, Fran or Foyle
Howard, Battie, Gortat
I like this more.. Give up Bogans and First for Critterton
Nelson, Dooling, Critterton
Childress, Redick, (Dooling)
Hedo, Evans
Lewis, Cook, Fran or Foyle.
Dwight, Battie, Gortat
Redick could play in the second line cuz dooling and Evans would be on the floor. Leaving Cook and Redick for the offense.

If Collison is available I would just draft him and keep JJ. Kyle Weaver is another guy I would rather draft outright. If those guys are not on the board, I would do this deal.

i really don't get why you guys think PF is a priority
with battie back,i'm happy with a lewis, battie, cook rotation at PF
what we need is a tall PG to back up jameer

Battie back fixes a lot of our big man issues. Fran would be a bonus. I expect some minutes from Gortat next year as well.

so what did u think of pietrus yesterday
javaris+pietrus really fit this team
they'd cost us only JJ+MLE
teh add it battie+fran
and we really improve our team for cheap

I still don't think Pietrus is any better than Mo Evans, and certainly not worth the full MLE. Buyers market. If we split the MLE between him and say Livingston, then that may be more viable.

I don't think we would need to send both for Javaris
JJ for Jarvis
or
pick for Javaris
I'd like to see what we can get with that pick 1st before I trade it away however with our history of drafting Javaris probably winds up better
I also do not want to use the full mle on pietrus, I'd rather have Childress

pietrus will get the full MLE somewhere .is he worth it?i don't think so but i think he could become worth it under SVG.
i think he is his kind of players, tall ,versatile, can hit the 3 and can defend, stan do love that.
as for javaris,i really like his game,he is tall and has all the tool to become a great defender.
we won't find a guy better than him with our late 1st or in FA. duhon is the only PG i could see us having a chance landing and he isn't the tall guy we need.
our PG rotation would be great with nelson, javaris and dooling
our C rotation is set with howard+battie+foyle
our SF rotation is set with Hedo, lewis and bogans
not like most of u,i think our PF rotation is good with Lewis, battie, cook and maybe fran
our SG is filled with role player Evans+bogans, adding pietrus to that rotation would be nice(don't forget bogans's contract expiere next year

Our 1st+JJ+w/e else it takes for O.J. Mayo+fillers

by Cammo101
Mayo will come in here wanting to take all the shots and be the go to guy. He will not fit into a role here. We need a guy like Kyle Weaver or Brandon Rush more than Mayo, someone who can come in and fit in.

I'd do this deal in a heartbeat, Crittenton has great potential and is the big PG that we've been searching for for awhile. Like someone else said he's good friends with Dwight, this would be perfect for us, IMO.

Crittenton doesn't really bring anything to the table that Dooling doesn't... but I like his game. Played against him in HS when he was a teammate of Dwight.
