Wow, apparently Green isn't even "a live body" according to the Rockets' vice president of basketball operations..

LOL.
Got to love his signing his shoe in the dunk competition - as if that meant something, and now he's been waived.

People wanted to trade for this guy LMAO. When your hometown team trades for you and waives you then you are not doing something right.

if this guy went to college for a few years he would have blossomed nicely in the NBA.

This guy reminds me eerily of a guy named Harold "baby jordan" Minor. Dude won 3 dunk contests or something, but did nothing in the NBA.

Miner won two dunk contests, but I wouldn't even put Green in the same league as Miner, at least in terms of hype.
Miner's bball cards were selling up there in the superstar range (his rookie card was like $50 at some point), and his nickname was "Baby Jordan".
Green was just a good talent with upside. While he did win a dunk contest title, his name wasn't really known outside of the core NBA fans. People thought Miner's star was going to sky-rocket; people just think Green can become a good player in the league...at best a third-option scorer, fringe all-star. At least that's the way I always saw it.

I thought DeShawn Stevenson was "Baby Jordan"...

nah, Jeryl Sasser is baby jordan.
He'll be back in the league next year, no big deal. If he gets his act together and plays with some heart he'll actually turn into a decent player. he's got the potential, but we all know how that works.

If Bogans and Redick are both shipped, Green would be a nice bench player for the Magic.

Funny.
Too bad for Green though.
He'll catch on somewhere though......he's got too much athletic ability to stayed out of action.
Somebody will bite.

im pretty sure most ppl were pissed at the Magic for passing on Granger. as i recall green's stock fell drastically just days before the draft which is why he fell so low.....but in any case, id rather have drafted green and seen him be a bust on our team then draft fran and never have him come over
