When opposing teams' fans see the Magic on the schedule...

Do they chalk it up as a win or a loss? This would be an interesting way to guage the everyone else's impression of the Magic. I think I'm going to post this question on each individual team message board & report the findings....

Yeah, I imagine were in there with GS, Pre-streak Houston, Cavaliers, etc. Not with the Lakers, Spurs, Pistons, Celtics, ...

I think most teams plan on doubling Dwight. I'd imagine that they feel they have a decent chance to win if they do this effectively.

Ed why not just post this question on the general board rather than on every single teams board?

I think we might be one of the hardest teams to guard. Doubling on Dwight only helps when you force a turnover otherwise they're pretty likely to get beaten by Hedo, Shard or some other shooter.. Pick your poison..

I agree about our other weapons.

But if you are able to effectively double Dwight, it has a considerable impact on the flow of our team. Also, if you are able to frustrate Dwight early in the game, then many times he's come back somewhat dejected and seems to put out less effort - offensively, defensively and in rebounding.

If this can be accomplished, and our shooters are having an off night ...

However, as you pointed out, we have several offensive weapons to dissuade teams from doing this. Many times we make them pay by hitting 3s.

It feels to me like fans of bad teams expect to lose against the Magic, whereas fans of good teams expect to crush the Magic.

Also, I note that many opposing fans actually over-rate Howard. Many seem to expect Howard to ding their team with 30-20+ effort every game.

Yah... I just saw that posting the same thing on mulitple boards is frowned upon... I don't want to piss anyone off. I just thought it'd be a legitimate question to pose. As far as posting on the general board, I didn't thinK I'd get a response from EVERY team if I did it that way. Can I continue to ask the same question on individual team boards or should I stop?
