No matter whom we face in the first round, we will win and move to the second round.

At this time this team has shown that they are mature enough, hungry enough and have the understanding to advance from the first round.

In all honesty, I don

I'm not quite as sure as the first round as you are, but am not too far behind.

I think we've made strides this season in focus, part maturity and part SVG. But we've still had too many mental lapses for me to feel it's a lock.

For instance that 2nd half of the GSW game. The way they came out after half had a playoff feel to it. They stepped up their intensity, and we looked lackadaisical out there in comparison. We made far too many lazy passes, watched missed rebounds bounce away. Whereas they were diving for loose balls, they were fighting for virtually every rebound and they were poking and swiping continually on defense.

Had we stepped up our game to match their intensity, I'd be a lot closer to you in this feeling.

While I agree with you on our occasional mental lapses, I do have to take the team we played into consideration without it coming across as an excuse. Warriors are a great team and the fact that we out played them in the first half was DH had dominated completly and Barron had not turned on the after burners.

We both know a regular season game is much different than playoff game. Now that been said, none of the teams we match up will have the maturity of GSW. I think our players just cant wait for the playoffs to start. This year our guys really want this and it shows.

well we're gettin some love from the "experts". John barry has us winning against wash. in 6 then losing to the pistons in 5. I guess i couldn't expect much more.

So if you believe we won't make it past th 2nd round, then why is the thread called "I believe"?
We are expected to win the 1st round, we have the better record and home court advantage. It i not a matter of hope, but of taking care of business.

Now if I was to imply hope or "I believe", I would imply that we CAN move past the 2nd round. That We CAN beat the big bad Pistons. That We CAN go above our expectations

Agreed my sentiments exactly. Theres all kinds of negativity in life. If at this point you have doubts about the team being able to get out of the first round you are being a bit negative. Real test for this team should be in the second round. Even 5 and out would be troubling. What? we can't win more than one game against ANY team in the East?

Time for Rahard to finally find a second gear and earn them bills.
