The Orlando Sentinel - Orlando Magic GM Otis Smith said on Wednesday morning that he wants his team to develop a nasty attitude, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
He exact words were that he'd like the team to have "a little more of a nasty attitude . . . be a little angrier."
Smith added that he isn't worried about all-star center Dwight Howard.

what are u the unofficial beat writer for the magic?? anyways, i would love for them to get a little meaner, but you can't make a rabbit ribbit like a frog. I don't really see any of our guys being mean spirited by nature. i mean do u see Hedo or Rashard goin into a club throwin bows? maybe Mo or bogans could step up, but its not like we have a bunch of brawlers on this squad.

i think smith has a great point here... svg has hinted at us being soft in his post game interviews and now the team is making an effort to actually be "nastier"... if our team can become more physical leading into the playoffs this could really launch us into a good run

Part of his reasoning is in response to the increasingly harder fouls that are coming against star center Dwight Howard and the anticipated more physical play that surely will come in the playoffs.
Duh. Do you really think so moron? We've been saying this since preseason. Trade deadline came and went and Otis did squat to get Dwight some protection. Dwight needs an Oakley or Maurice Lucas type guy next to him. I hate to say it but yes, even Artest would have been a plus in the tough/nasty department.

Have you seen Garnett's mouth while he plays. He is talking the most trash on the court, and curses at you like crazy. And he will be the first player to back up his own player in a fight.
