The purpose of the thread is pure comedy. No attacks against the original posters of the following quotes are encouraged. They will remain anonymous.....but it's not like it's that hard to find them.


Well, we are playoff bound Magic fans. And most of us knew it all along. We knew that the additions of Rashard Lewis and Stan Van Gundy would help bring this team to a new level. We knew that we really had something to look forward to this season.

Unfortunately, it seems like we were the only ones.

I like how every Magic fan other than the ones who actually think. Lewis has been a 1 time all-star in his 10 year career. But they act like he is a star. This guy has never led a team in his career. He isn't much of a go to guy.

The loss of Grant Hill and Darko Milicic, will seriously hurt us. We don't have Grant Hill's leadership, and his late game play. And Darko's defense shot blocking ability, and defense in the post. Darko is a top 5 post defender.

Dwight Howard, he is good. But he needs to makes his FT's and needs to expand his game. Having 2 moves won't help him out if we are trying to make the playoffs. If we are to make the playoffs, Dwight just needs to expand his game more. Because I have a hard time believing Lewis in 82 games will lead you to the playoffs.

This team I'm telling you will be one of te worst teams in the Eastern conference."

There was one thread during the offseason where a guy on the general board swore on his life that if the Magic made the playoffs, he would send every Magic fan on REALGM $5.

I want to take him up on that.

I wish I had some of the quotes still from the general board. I had them on my old PC about how Miami was a lock for the playoff's, how Orlando sucked and SVG wouldnt make a difference.

Quite amusing.

I think I had a quote saying we would be the worst team in the SE.

Funny thing is that some people swore that teams like Cha, Indy, Atl, Mil, NY, Mia, Phi would be better than us and that we wouldnt make the playoffs, let alone win 40 games.

Why, your opinions counts more than others? I think right now this team stinks. I call it 37-45 Give me a +/- 3 If you got the balls give us your prediction and at the end of the season we see who guess it closest.

Followed up by:

Barring any good trades (with Otis its a safe bet that won't happen) I project us to go 18-36 the rest of the way finish 37-45.
