MAGIC ANNOUNCER

Post#1 » by magicdoc » Mon Mar 17, 2008 11:50 am

Paul porter is an icon for the orlando magic since the beginning -

Where did they find Eric who replaced him on Saturday niught? This guy was worse than horrible- he could not pronounce names like Battie at half time- His commentary was awful- He indicated at one time when evans made a basket- basket by maurice but forgot the last name!

When Jay from Mix 105 takes over there is very little drop off- I hope that the magic do not rehire this clown who has no skills when it comes to magic games

I could do a good job at that. I have done some announcing at race tracks and I would surely pronounce all the names correctly.

Paul Porter is a legend. The Eric guy does UCF games and this was a high drop off performance from the UCF Arena, don't know why he was that bad.

Don't expect anyone to beat Paul Porter's vocals.

I believe Paul Porter also does Lightning games and over the past couple of years, they have had substitute announcers

ususally they have Jay from Mix 105 show with scott and erica-

Surprised they did not try and get him again- He is the usual substitute. This was not a very enjoyable perfomance- more for the "D league"

Sorry Eric- go back to the UCF arena

I wonder what our W/L record is with each announcer?

Eric is a solid PA guy.

Unfamiliarity with him upsets some.

IMO, Paul Porter is the 2nd best PA guy in the league. Behind Detroit's Mason..I know alot of ppl on here think he's annoying as hell. But I would love to have him as my PA announcer.

You find him kind of annoying but he is cool?

I want a REAL CONTROVERSIAL PA guy. Like calling guys names. Sort of a "Family Guy" personality. I want him to make fun of the other team and when they free throw, play a sound bite of a shot gun going off in the stadium. Fun family things like that.
My 2 cents is worth 5 cents.

I wish the PA guys would just do the game and leave the theatrics out.
