What do you think our record will be (next 7 games)?

We have an interesting 7 game stretch coming up:
Wed 19 vs Washington (no Gilbert Grape as per wiretap)
Fri 21 vs Philadelphia
Sat 22 @ Atlanta
Tue 25 vs San Antonio
Fri 28 @ Milwaukee
Tue 01 vs New Orleans
Sat 05 @ Cleveland
We've got 3 Eastern playoff teams in a row. Next up are the Spurs, who are almost always tough. Then there's a potential let-down game in between. Followed by the N.O. CPs (or if you're from down-under the N.O. Boguts) and the Cleveland LeBrons.
What do you think our record will be?

i went with a more realistic/pessimistic choice and said 4-3...It's a tough stretch really...a lot tougher than we have had for awhile because of how different each team is, plus we play an elite team in the Spurs and a western conference powerhouse in NO as well as another LeBron game...I pray for 7-0, and it's not impossible, 6-1 would be excellent, 5-2 is realistic but i'm saying 4-3...

I'd aim for 4-3, with the wins over the Wizards, Sixers, Hawks, and Bucks. Anything less and I'm angry. Anything more and I'm ecstatic.

Sounds like the stereotypical RealGM poster, middle ground is razor thin.

I went to look ahead at the schedule and saw these teams, and had the same thought.
I went with 5-2 - I'm hoping that SVG is keeping them focused.

I see us getting the W against Philly, coming out & trying to prove a point. Winning the other 3 "easier" games. Leaving the "hard" 3: Spurs, Hornets, Cavs....I hope to see us win at least one of those. That would put us at 5-2.

6-1 looks lonely.

I'm definitely seeing 5-2 or better.
I went with 5-2. Philly's on a roll, but so are we - and we're playing that game at home. SA/NO/CLE will obviously be tough ones, so I see two losses coming somewhere over the next 7. Hopefully no more than that, hopefully less than that.

I like thief think that this is going to be a tougher stretch than we have had in a while. Philly, Atlanta and washington are all going to be very scrappy looking to solidify their seedings, Spurs and NO are elite teams of the league and Cavs have James so, I say 4-3 is actually an excellent resutl.

going 4-3 will put us at i think 16-6 since the all star break is about 73% i'll take that...

If we win tonight..we'll be on a 6 game win streak....which means we will win vs philly and atlanta...that would put us at an 8 game win streak...which will cause us to lose @ san antonio..but then we'll be mad and win at milwauke...and eventually win vs hornets...but lose to cavs.
Wed 19 vs Washington (no Gilbert Grape as per wiretap)
Fri 21 vs Philadelphia
Sat 22 @ Atlanta
Tue 25 vs San Antonio
Fri 28 @ Milwaukee
Tue 01 vs New Orleans
Sat 05 @ Cleveland

the Magic have only had 7 losing streaks this year, 5 two game streaks and 2 three game streaks, 3 games being our longest streak and our average losing streak is only 1.2 games...
to put that into comparison, we have had 11 winning streaks averaging 3.9 games per streak...
interesting stats or useless info?
i'd like to do the comparison for the rest of the NBA to see how we match up in this stat, but I dont feel like doing it

I dont know what happened but my passion for stats etc. has gone away. I guess its a good thing because its a bunch of useless knowledge that no one really cares about. Its not like you'll be having a conversation and say "oh magics are the only team that has scored 11 3's a game this season"..why does it matter? who knows
....well I guess there is better stuff to fill my brain with than sports stats.

4-3.
(But I've been pessimistic for 10 years now, so why change now?).

momentum can carry a team pretty far just like the rockets 22 streak, i honestly believe if we can win the next three we will go 7-0.

San Antonio aren't playing well of late and aren't playing well on the road this season... I say we take that one.
Our road record is good so we should take the road games except the Cleveland game. If we drop one at home I'd guess New Orleans who are a good road team.
4-3 is the safe bet, but I said 5-2... there are definately 5 games we should win IMO, just a matter of whether we actually do.
