OT - Just moved here!

Post#1 » by carrottop12 » Fri Mar 21, 2008 8:56 pm

Hey it's me again, you may remember me from a while back saying I was moving in to Orlando from Utah.

Well anyways, I finally got here, and Sunday is my one year anniversary with my wife.

So, since I just got to Orlando and haven't had a ton of time here to figure things out, I need some ideas on a restaurant to go to in town (I live in Clermont so anywhere from here to Orlando is great) and maybe something fun to do afterwards. She works at Disney so I would assume avoid going there, but if anyone knows anything fun around town that is a little bit more on the romantic side that would be awesome.

Thanks guys, you were a big help with the job search last time, I am really in need of a good restaurant now.

Thanks for any ideas, go Magic!!! and Jazz!!!

Great just what we need around here, more Jazz fans. LOL jk.

If you live in Clermont, i suggest you drive east to Winter Garden. There is the new mall there called the Winter Garden Village at Fowlers Grove, it has a bunch of restuarants. You take State road 50 east towards Orlando and turn right on Daniels. You would find it down the road as you go straight. Its like 15-20 mins from Clermont. Or you can always try international drive but thats further and toursty. But Winter Garden village is probably the best and closest place to Clermont.

Hey Batron, I am a fellow resident of the Clermont area. A good area to find more "romantic" style restaurants is the Sand Lake Road area in Orlando. It's easy to get there really, just take the Turnpike to I4 East, then take the Sand Lake Exit and take a right. If you go left you hit I-Drive aka tourist hell.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Bucca Di Beppo is really nice, or at The Mall at Millenia you have the choices like PF Chengs (Gourmet Chinese) as Orlandomagic said, The Cheesecake Factory, or McCormick and Schmick's Seafood Restaurant

This seasons 52 place looks good, thanks Theif.

I will start trying to post more on this board, the Magic have always been in my top 3 teams so it is cool that I moved here and not LA or something.
