This reminds me of the O-Sen story around 1994-5 of the Magic going after the next great African named Sloof Lirpa. The idea was that he was 7'8" 320 during Shaq's rookie year - Shaq was "only" 280 then - and that Shaq could slide to PF after the Magic signed this guy.

There was so much mail to the O-Sen (before the days of the web!), that the Sports department on April 2 worte an apology editorial.

No he wouldn't... unless he was being sarcastic.

He and Arroyo have a good relationship, and he wouldn't say he was the 2nd best player.

That was a funny story...I think the "players" name was Yad S. Looflirpa.
