Bob VDW's 50th B-day: $105K donation last night

Last night (April Fool's Day Ironically enough) was Magic President/CEO's, Bob VanDerWeide's, 50th' birthday, and I thought they had a great celebration! Throughout the 1st half, various events (with Bob directly participating) were held & the results generated $$$ amounts for donation to charity. These events included a 3-point shootout (w/two fans, Bob, his, brother, Nick Anderson, & Dennis Scott!) a $50K halfcourt shot (Bob hit one!), a mascot dodgeball tournament, & a couple of others.

The final total was $95K, which the Magic rounded up to $100K.. This along with an anonymous $5K donation totaled $105K presented to the Boys & Girls club of Orlando last night. I skimmed through the game thread & didn't see anything about this, but I thought the actions of Bob & the Magic organization warranted mention. In fact I didn't see any coverage about this anywhere! That seems like a pretty decent amount of money to donate. Kudos to them...

They mentioned in on Sun Sports and showed some of the mascot dodge ball challenge.

It was funny seeing pretty boy wear something other than a suit.

VanDerWeide's half court shot was like the #3 or #4 play of the day on sports center

I think he made one or two (I don't think Nick made any)... Seriously though... I thought he was Charles Barkley... :(

3-D missed them all and Nick maybe made one (they both sucked).
Bob was taken people to the cleaners in shooting and dodgeball.
