Wiz TV color analyst thinks Magic is an easy win in playoffs
Link
Special note to the Magic and their fans....Wizards TV color analyst Phil Chenier was asked during the broadcast whether he would rather face the Pistons, Cavaliers or Magic in the playoffs, and he said the Magic. Chenier said the Magic have a formidable frontcourt and says he likes their point guards, too. But he said he thinks the Magic's lack of playoff experience could hurt them in the postseason. Plus, he pointed out that the Wizards beat the Magic in Orlando last month -- and that was without Arenas on the court.
The Wizards do have a lot of talent, and their backups got a lot of valuable experience this season with the injuries to Arenas and Caron Butler. Rookie Nick Young is starting to assert himself and has helped the Wizards down the stretch. Shooting guard Roger Mason has improved his shot this season and has been crucial for the Wizards in some games. Assuming that Jamison is able to play during the postseason, the Wizards pretty much will have two complete rosters to throw out at whichever team they face. Could they beat the Magic in a seven-game series? It might not even end up being the matchup so we might not find out. If the playoffs started today, they would face the Raptors in the first round, while Washington would play the Cleveland Cavaliers (again) and the Sixers would take on the Pistons. Still, if you're the Magic, you've got to take note that some who work for a potential playoff opponent think you would be the easiest of the top four teams in the East to knock off.[/url]

The first paragraph he states nothing but facts. So people cant be upset by this:
We have a good front court
We are an unexperiened team
We lost at home to the Wizs without Arenas.
And also as a Magic fan I would rather face us than the Pistons or the Celts. Those llisted above are the reasons why he thinks we are an easy victory. All we need to do is show them other wise. No biggie in my eyes

Well if the Magic end up playing the Wizards in the first round I think that Coach SVG should post what that Wizard announcer said about the Magic. Just something to make the Magic players want to beat the Wizards even more. It works in other sports so why not here.
And yes I don't see the Wizards beating the Magic mainly because bringing Arenas back actually seems to have messed up the Wizards as a team. They were playing better without him, with him they lost to the lowly Bucks. See what I mean??!!

That's true, OrlandoMagic, but he's also saying that the Wizards would rather face the Magic than the Cavs -- and implying that the Wizards now can beat the Magic every time they play them (or at least enough to win a playoff series). Besides, I think Dwight and Jameer might be the only guys in the regular rotation who haven't been in the playoffs at least twice (maybe not Foyle) so they are not bereft of playoff experience.

True! I would much rather play the Magic than the Pistons or Celtics too! So what the guy said was true & he's entitled to his opinon like most analyst are, but they(he) better be careful what you wish for, just ask Dallas last year vs Golden State

He's the TV analyst for the Wiz...why wouldn't he think his team could beat us. Besides he didn't say we would be easy to beat he just stated he'd rather face us than the Pistons or Cavs mainly due to the fact that the Pistons are the Pistons and the Cavs went to the finals last year. I would've probably said the exact same thing in his shoes.

The wiz analyst had some good points. But did anyone watch the Mavs game on ESPN. John Barry and that other bald guy were saying " I dunno, with a big dominant player like Dwight in the middle and their 3 point shooters, Orlando could be a dangerous team" That statement made my night! National coverage on that game and we got talked about positively for once!

LOL, the light finally comes on. There's a reason the Magic have won all those games!
