shaq on dwight being called superman
im still new to realgm. i havnt got the hang of it yet i dont know how to post a link. but shaq said dwight does not desereve to be called super-man.
he then went on to say he has to earn that name. i find that funny seeing as to how he has been going by superman since he was with the magic. he then went on to say hes now the big cactus.

Here's the link he's looking for:
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/o ... 2335.story
Here's the quote in that Sentinel story:
While everyone else has beamed over the emergence of Orlando's young Dwight Howard, who donned the Superman cape to win the Slam Dunk Contest at All-Star Weekend, O'Neal bristled at the thought of anyone upstaging him. Even in the twilight of his career, he deems no one else worthy just yet.
"Superman is still mine," O'Neal said definitively last week. "He [Howard] has to do something first to be called Superman. Anyone can win a slam-dunk contest. The real Superman is dead. He was assassinated by Pat Riley [in Miami]. I'm the Big Cactus now, and ready to roll again."
I was wondering how long it was going to take Shaq to say something about that. He's had that Superman logo since he played here. I figured that had something to do with why he's been talking up Amare all the time -- plus the fact that he's his Suns teammate now.

Funny thing is that he (shaq) tried so hard to give himself that nick but it never caught on, he went as far as making the godawful movie Steel but still didn't merit getting called superman. Dwight on the other hand did something that made the media and fans call him Superman and it's rubbing shaq thae wrong way. For once in your life shaq just STFU!
And FYI, I'm the real Superman!!!

There's a difference between insisting people call you Superman and being called it.
Shaq, I have never had a conversation with anyone where they've called you "Superman" just for your information if you happen to be reading this.
Dwight is Superman, end of story. Shaq, you're old.
Thank you for your time.

Well said.

Shaqs old and washed up...He should just quit while hes ahead
He always has something against Dwight sayin he should earn this and that and know saying hes not superman
NEWS FLASH Shaq...Dwight is a top 5 player in the league and hes earned everything that hes accomplished...He earned to right to start in an all-star game, probably 1st all nba, dunk contest...So i think hes more than qualified to call himself whatever he wants
