OT: Updated - Engaged Video Pg. 2

Post#1 » by OrlandoMagic » Thu Apr 17, 2008 6:00 am

Hey all letting everyone know I just got engaged tonight during the LifeHouse concert at Hard Rock Live. It was a really awesome time and my girlfriend had the time of her life.

Quick recap and how it went down.

We were waiting in line and I told my girl I had to use the restroom, instead though I headed up to security and let them know I was proposing. We had to go through detectors and I wasnt sure if it was going to set it off. The security guys were really cool, and told me to jump in their line and they will let me in. Well I get there and had to empty out my pockets liek normal but kept the ring in. My girl was behind me and of course I walk through and I hear the detector go off. The guy looked at me and smiled and was like your all good sir. So I grabbed my items and got my girl. He looked at us both and smiled and says have a great time you two. My girl had no idea what was going on.

So we get inside and its jammed pack. Our friend made it for the last band which was LifeHouse. Well I was going to propose halfway through our song which was You and Me. They finally start playing it and my heart drops. Im thinking to myself this is it!!! I turn around and asked the people behind me to scoot back so I have room. They gave me this look of what? why? I show them the ring and tell them Im proposing. They start freaking out all of a sudden everyone behind me knows what Im about to do.

So I get onto one knee and pull the ring out. Finally my girlfriend turns around and looks at me. She starts to sob. I finally realzied this tiny space I had to myself turned out to be the size of a car. Everyone spread out and it was just us two in the middle of the crowd. Next thing I know I say a few words and ask her to marry me. The crowd starts to chant "Say Yes, Say Yes" She says yes and I give her the ring.

At this point LifeHouse is sitll singing the song, and he gives a quick congratulations to us during the song. Everyone in the crowd errupted for us. It was awesome. After the song, the lead singer looked for us, and asked if he can play at our wedding. Which everyone around us was like "Hell Yeah!"

After the show everybody started coming up to us and congratualting us, and saying how awesome it was to see that happen in real life. Some guy actually turned to us and video taped it which was really cool. He gave us his E-mail and hes going to send us the video.

Must say it was the time of both of our lives, and its hard to believe it even gets better from here on out.

Wow that's awesome dude congrats. I'm still mulling over how I want to propose to my girl. I got the ring two months ago and was considering doing at a Raps game, but that was the time that all those viral videos were making the rounds of the guy getting stood up when he did it in front of so many peeps. She won't say no, but that was a little offsetting.

Great story and one you'll both always remember. Well done!

Congrats bro, don't let any idiot with their negative comments scare you, marriage is a beautiful thing when you are young and in love and are doing it for the right reasons. Marrying my beautifu sweet wife was the best choice I could have ever made. Enjoy brother, enjoy

Congrats!

I just got married a month ago. It's very exciting. I just did the simple "down on one knee in a lounge." I did have a bottle of Dom and it was on a cruise, though. I just need to remember not to tell my wife your story. I don't want to look bad!
