I haven't been around much lately. But I've been checking scores and updates as often as i can, and i just thought that we've accomplished a few milestones this season so it'd be nice to sit back and relish the moment.
We hit the 50 win mark.
We won our division.
We ranked 3rd in the Eastern Conference.
Dwight won the dunk contest and set himself in Allstar Stone.
Dwight averaged 20/14.2/2 shooting just shy of 60%.
Turk became a stud and star well beyond he was expected to.
We were the first team to be the C's when they were hot out of the gates.
These are just a few of the things I'm happy to mull over. Feel free to add your own thoughts, but I thought we may as well take a moment, before the pressure of the playoffs kicks in, to really think of the highlights.
And, as a cheesy side note, it's been good to have shared the highs and lows with everyone on the board. and i mean everyone, no matter how much i may agree or disagree with their comments.

I believe we are also the only team in the league to beat both the Celtics and the Pistons twice this year.

I just hope the amazing regular season won't be forgotten in light of the playoffs.
We had 12 game win increase from last season - that's 30% more wins than the last.
We're we the only team to beat both the Cs and Pistons?

I don't think that will happen unless we get beat in the first round or look like we don't belong in the second. Not likely. Sure is great to have a head coach that has never missed the playoffs and never had a team that didn't compete. Won't surprise me in the least if Stan turns out to be a Hall of Fame coach.

Whitley had a good primer for determining the success of the season in the playoffs:
One series and done -- Ugh.
Two and done -- Good year.
Conference finals -- Gravy.
NBA Finals -- We build the Magic two new arenas.
NBA championship -- Global freezing in Hell.

I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that we are the only team that had a positive/tied record against every team in the East. Boston doesn't qualify because we beat them 2-1. Hawks/Pistons were the only 2 teams we didn't beat in the season series.

And we were the one and only team to unleash the Gortatnator.
Also dont forget the Magic made the second most 3 point field goals ever. The Magic in one year went from one of the worst in the league to 2nd best 3 point shooting team, ever!!!

Hedo Turkoglu is likely the Most Improved Player.
We had a better road record than home (not sure if that's a positive or a negative, i say a positive in the playoffs when you don't have home court advantage)
Dwight is likely 1st Team All-NBA
The team remained exceedingly healthy the entire season (knock on wood)
We're finally to a point where we're actually EXPECTED to get past the first round

QFT, it's been a hell of a season no matter the playoffs W's or L's, I haven't been this excited about the Magic for years. Too bad I'm busy as hell these days with work and that stupid thing called "real life" and I can't post much, but I read you guys almost daily
GO MAGIC

It is a good year to be Magic fan..
We have the building blocks to be even better next year.
Now maybe my friends will stop ranting on me being a Magic fan and I can start giving them some hell once the playoffs start.

he's referring to when the Magic go up to Toronto. Everything depreciates in value up there.
