OT: LOL at Deshawn Stevenson

Post#1 » by TheMadMagician » Tue Apr 22, 2008 2:31 pm

First he opens his big mouth and say "Lebron's overrated" than He gets constantly made fun of by the fans and the Cavs. Serves Stevenson right. What if he were on this team and talking trash? I would be so pissed at him. HAHAHAHA LOL at Deshawn "U CANT C ME!! LOL

Yea this is not a league in which you should openly insult superstars, you'll only end up embarrassed. Keep your mouth shut and play hard.

I never really liked Lebron or Deshawn for that matter. I was kinda glad he left the magic for the wizards after asking for a god awful some of money.

My professional diagnosis:
Inflated self-estimation due to extended exposure to Hibachi.

Thing about this is that it shows how not ready Lebron is for superstardom. True superstars don't even acknowledge little pissants like Stevenson.

Case in point -- when Kobe almost had his head taken off by Raja Bell in the playoffs a few years back, Kobe got up and just brushed it off his shoulders. He didn't get pissed, he didn't get flustered, he just brushed it off because Kobe knows that his game is in a different universe than Bell's. Same with Lebron and Stevenson. If LJ wants to be a superstar, he needs to learn how to act like one.

Well I dont think Lebron gave a hoot either. In his comments he said that other players dont motivate him and its the game that motivates him and he pretty much brushed off Deshawn's comments. Deshawn just made an ass out of himself. I mean if a superstar callsout another superstar I can see and understand but a league mop to do that is just wanting to increase his exposure however negative it may be.

Stevenson is trying (too) hard to build himself a reputation in the L and since he can't score, he wants the big defensive stopper rep (with trash talking etc), but he's got neither so far.

Still a fun player to watch, though

Washington has locker room issues and players are taking on the persona of Arenas and his loud mouth.

He was scoring pretty well when he was helping to carry the burden when Bulter and Arenas were out.

But during this series he's only scoring 7.5 on .313 FG% - which stinks for what they need at this level from him.

Yeh he is an idiot, but I thought Washington was the better team. Their damn offense has just vanished. Arenas may be messing with their chemistry and Butler and Jamison tend to disappear on offense. I still believe if Washington can win their home games that they have a good shot at taking this series.

did anyone notice how stuart scott and espn made a huge deal out of deshawn calling lebron 'overrated' and turning in a 1-9 day? don't mess with espn and their favorite player.

Which is why several on the board wanted to face them in the first round ...

 I just heard from my source that Deshawn has been injured for the last few weeks and isnt even playing. Apparently Deshawn's agent cut off Joakim Noah's pony tail, glued it to his chin and has been posing as DS for the last several weeks. No doubt to bolster his clients FA bid in 10-11. Deshawn has been home watching the games from home on his couch but has been unable to get to the telephone to warn someone because ..... you guessed it ..... it is at least three point range from the couch and he has no chance in hell of getting to it.
