Boy the bible thumping can be some scary sh*t! I've debated, with myself mainly, whether or not being raised to have strong faith is a good or bad thing. It definitely has its scary sides, but really, look at how Dwight's matured, maintained his character, and yet still fits in and seems to have found himself. I really think that all in all, building character around strong faith as a youth is a better track than just throwing them to MTV and letting them sink or swim.

On a basketball note, thank god we made that pick!

I, personally, was upset when we drafted Dwight. I thought Okafor was the clear cut choice. I can't say that now, though.

I agree. Regardless of how you feel about his faith you at least know he has morals and standards and its highly unlikely you'll end up with a Stephen Jackson, Zach Randolph, Jamaal Tinsley, or Artest situation. To quote Malcom X, a man who stands for nothing will fall for anything, and at least Howard stands for something. It was a tossup, and ya'll definitely made the right decision. Congratulations from a fan of an organization that took Kwame Brown #1... :nonono:

Tom Tolbert got it right. He said the Magic were not going to do anything for 3-4 years. He also said that since that was the case, the Magic could afford to choose Howard if he was going to turn into a superstar by then. Never thought on a bball panel , that Tolbert would be the only one that was right. However, I knew that Stephen A. would be wrong, because he always it.
