Better defense? I'm not entirely sure about that, DeShawn has done quite good on that front for Washington.

The biggest difference between the two is the salary; the Magic didn't want to pay DeShawn what he asked for and ended up with Bogans for half the price.

The fact that Bogans is a more consistent outside shooter and still is a decent defender at a cheaper price is what makes this a brilliant move for the Magic. They'll have to prove to be able to do this on a more regular basis if the team's salaries keep expanding in case Hedo gets a big extension.

Bogans needs to break the chains and stop hanging out at the Blue Martini...

It's interesting that Deshawn actually shot a higher percentage from 3 while taking just about the same amount of shots from the distance.
