If Dwight has a third 20/20 game tonight...

Shaq is listed as having back to back 20/20's twice in 2001. If D12 gets a third one tonight, I think it should be viewed as two back-to-backs also, with the middle game counting twice :D

Going to be a great game though. Wish I didn't have to watch it choppy and pixelated in the corner of my screen.

Why try to match 2 back to back 20/20s? The question is, has anyone done a back to back to back 20/20? Bacause if he does it again tonight that would be 3 games in a row and I think that is more special than 2 back to backs.

Also, after the game they said 2 consecutive 20/20 hasn't been done since 1969 by Thurman, but I read somewhere that Garnett did it in 2003. Which one is accurate?

if he does it 4 times in a row..he is the GOAT center of the first round...

although hakeem/shaq/duncan all have something he doesn't yet.

During the Magic game the broadcasters said Dwight did something that hasn't been done in 40 years, not sure if it was 20/20 games in the playoffs or back to back 20/20 games in the playoffs.

25 & 20

It's my understanding it was the first time in 40 years someone did back to back 25 & 20 games. Not 20 & 20.

Now who is this..."Dwight" fellow everyone seems to be so excited about? I've heard things...

Ok, I think SunSports got their stats wrong.

They were saying it was the first back-to-back 20/20 in the playoffs since Thurmond in '69. But newspapers reported that Garnett had done it in '04.

Yes, but KG didnt had back2back 25-20 games, he had a 20-22 and a 30-20 game

I don't think the national media noticed that he had back-to-back 25/20 games.

Well, from what I remember, Paul Kennedy and crew kept repeating that Howard had the first back-to-back 20/20 playoff games since Nate Thurmond in 1969.

So they were reporting it wrong if this is the case.

... the Magic probably win!

(That said, if Howard has an 0/0 night and the Magic win, that's great!)

Originally, they said it was the first time since Nate Thurmond that a player had 20 points, 20 rebounds AND 5 blocks. That was just game 1.

Now its different record, talking about back to back 20/20 games. But yea, the thing that hasn't been done since 1969 is 20/20/5blks.

Isn't Dwight only averaging 4 blocks though?

I wonder if we will ever see a 30/30. the 25/20 was actually a 29/22 right?

It was 29/20 i believe

KG got the back to back 20/20 in 2004 Playoffs
Nate Thurmond got back to back 25/20 in 1969 Playoffs
Dwight got back to back 25/20 in 2008 Playoffs

Yes, but the record is only for a single game. Dwight got 20/20/5 blocks in game 1 and that was the first time that happened in a playoff game since 1969.

Heh, Dwight rarely seems visibly impressed with these kinds of things. Paul Kennedy mentioned it to him after the game and he just sort of looked away and muttered something.

Dwight is the Youngest to do it as well..Was it Thurman who did it 1969
