I was on my way into work this morning, and the Power 95.3 Morning Show (Obie & Li'l Shawn) prank called Jose Calderon yesterday morning at his hotel room (they were staying at the Grand Bohemian). Here's a link to the website if you wanna listen to it:

It's on "Toronto Raptors phone fun". It sounded legit, then I read about it in the Sentinel this morning.
...Raptors PG Jose Calderon had a rude awakening early Monday morning when a local Orlando radio station made a prank call to his hotel room...
Pretty funny stuff, I like the part where he thought his game was the next day!

I didn't listen, but if it's true, that's actually pretty lame.

Yep, lame. Our local radio stations are just jumping on the Magic bandwagon for the most part.

Don't make our fanbase look like douches, please. Thanks.

Hahaha. That's awesome. Jose Calderon is a little biatch with his "i'ma hit a three and always hold up these three fingers to prove I know how to count" gimmic, so I enjoyed this.

Yeah, this would be lame if it was a player who I had any respect for whatsoever.

When he flopped at crunch time in game two, little Jose lost whatever small ounce of respect I had left for him. I can safely say that Calderon and Ginobili are the only two players in the NBA that I completely despise. Extremely talented but extremely annoying and theatrical. The only way i'd soften my stance would be if they were on the Magic, naturally.

So prank call away. I won't lose any sleep over it, (but it looks like he did). As far as it making our fanbase look like douches......well, that's a lost cause for me, I am one. It's too late for me to be saved.

Messing with the away teams when they're at the hotel is pretty funny to me. I don't see it as lame at all. Didn't this happen pretty often back in the day. I even heard stories of fire alarms being pulled in the middle of the night, etc. to disrupt the visitors.

It's funny and expected as the radio stations are jumping on the bandwagon.

This is an old trick. Bulls-Jazz finals a decade ago were full of these.

Why is it lame? Dat is hilarious, atleast the city is showing support. An as far as 95.3 jumpin on da bandwagon I have no idea cus I only recently started listening to them but i know they are at most of the games. 102 Jamz has supported the magic ever since I can remember doh.. Either way that was pretty funny, best part was the end lol.. "Maybe some breakfast before you go Mr. Calderon? We have all kinds of good stuff for athletes. We even have a wheaties box with Dwight Howard on it!" lol
