Marcin Gortat interviewMarcin Gortat came to Orlando in July just hoping to make an impression on new Magic coach Stan Van Gundy. Not only did Gortat make an impact, but he impressed the Magic so much that they signed him to a guaranteed contract and gave him a shot in the NBA much sooner than anyone expected.

He seemed like the most happy player that we got out of the first round. He just truly enjoys being in the NBA and the Magic.

Thanks for the link.
I'm definitely on the Gortat Bandwagon. You've got to like everything you hear about him -- Stan's raved about his work ethic, he's certainly saying the right things, and as we've all see, he's he's like Tigger over there on the sideline. I mean he's jumping up for what seems like every single play. You've got to love that enthusiasm.
I think, in the eyes of the fans, he could be our modern day Bo Outlaw.
I hope he continues to progress and look forward to what he might be able to bring to the table in the future.

Thank you Magicfan.
Did he say he started playing just 4yrs ago? I really love his passion and the minutes he played I actually really liked him. He didn't get nervous and he was very alert guarding Bosh. He can be a great help next year.

I loved it when in Game3 of the Raps series he was the first to point at Kapono when we left him open late in the 4th quarter, even before Stan started yelling like crazy (as usual). Shows he's always in the game even when he's on the bench or not getting any PT.
Reminds me a little of Bo Outlaw in his glory days circa '99
