I am not looking forward to facing the Pistons. Please win sixers so we can kill your weak frontline :D .

Don't worry you'll kill the Pistons. If my 76ers can put up this much of a fight then you'll absolutely destory them.

yeah i also think that we can knock off detroit...if they're struggling with philly, which by no means is remotely close to being as good as we are, we should dominate that series 4-2

I don't know. Detroit is the best team in the league when they're on, IMO. I think they thought they could stroll through the series against the Sixers, and when the Pistons turned it on, they handed them their asses. I doubt they make the same mistake against us.

Come on Philly - I'll be out town for several days. Extend the series so I'll be home for every game!!

We could beat the Pistons, sure. We definitely have a shot at it.

However, the Pistons seem to be getting into that "ok, enough's enough" mode, where they just go out there and rip up teams.

Basically, it looks like they're blossoming at the right time. :-?

We have a better shot at beating them now than we ever have...and we have come close before...why not this year?

Bring on Detroit. We can get revenge on them from all those other playoff series. Plus, we can put a stop to their Eastern Conference Finals streak of 5.

Plus, we can send all those Detroit fans that show up to Magic home games back to their shanties.

Detroit is quite good when they try. Philly has NO shot at all in this series. None.

i dont care who we get in the 2nd round.

we have a great chance to beat philly, and a good crack at the pistons.

I would much rather we face Detroit and prevail than avoid them and end up in the ECF. Then everyone will say "they didn't beat the Pistons". This way it will be more sweeter and we'll get some more recognition.

Besides, I hope SVG unleashes Gortat on Wallace and co. Cant wait. Bring 'em on.

Of course i'd prefer to play the sixers, but if we do we'll get just as much media attention as with the craptors.

If choosing between who would I rather them BEAT in the second round, it would obviously be the Pistons.

If choosing between who would I rather them FACE? Sixers, no doubt.

One recent example of a fanbase wanting to face the tougher team? Raptors fans. Last season, they said "bring on those Nets!" Yeah, no.

I want my team to win a championship. Not TRY to conquer a better team in the second round of the playoffs. Let's think big picture here.

Detroit may be vulnerable this year.

They are aging right before our eyes.

This could be an opportune time to end their run.

Teams better than Detroit
1. Boston
2. Lakers
3. Spurs
4. Hornets
5. Jazz
Need i go on?

Well this season they did the opposite, wished for their team to lose enough to face what they saw as the weaker team... they would have had a better chance against Cleveland or Washington for sure IMO.

I'll take whoever is on the menu, if its the Sixers, great, if its the Pistons, great, bring them on.

I don't care who we face just as long as we show up with our A-game. I agree Detroit is aging before our eyes and this just might be the year that the torch is passed. Boston doesn't count because their assembly this year was a fluke and they are old too. The torch is our to take either this year or next. I say, "Why not this year?"

I don't know if jump straight from getting swept in the 1st round to beating the same team to go to the ECF in the span of a year. That sort of thing is usually a drawn out process.

It is, but if we aren't good enough to beat the Pistons this year, then we aren't good enough to win the title, so be it, lets learn from it...

I expect us to face the Pistons, and lose, and I'm okay with that, we're past the first round which is a new highmark for this team, so everything else this year is just experience for next year.

Occasionally you'll see a team jump from the 1st round and the following year go on a long run like we did back in the 90s, but its very rare, people expecting the same thing this year may be disappointed (hopefully not though).
