OT: Parcells needs to stfu about Taylor.
Jason has earned his dues in this league and he shouldn't have to be taking this kind of crap from anyone. Parcells has been doing a lot of good things with the fins, but he needs to give it a rest and stop getting so involved.

More here then you might think. In this case I am watching Parcells do the same thing he did in Dallas and with the Giants and he is going to cost them a great player.
Taylor is not over the hill, but Parcells only listens to Parcells and that is going to be the problem for the fins.
It would have been better for Taylor to have been traded then he wouldn't have to deal with the Parcells bs.

what did parcells do??? taylor asked to be traded right?? parcells is trying to trade taylor ... which is exactly what he asked... parcells is asking for too much so he will never get it but then again maybe he is just asking high to see what a team will give up for him.... wait till right around training camp when teams start to see if they could use a veteran like taylor to push their team over the top...

Taylor did not ask to be traded. He just wanted to know what his role with the Fins was going to be this year. He just wanted to sit down and talk with Parcells, but Parcells just ignored him. That is the kind of man he is and can be problem for others.
Parcells is the one that floated Taylor's name to see if there would be any takers at the very high price that he was asking.

Basically parcells gave him the cold shoulder when taylor came to visit the fins practice facility a couple of weeks ago. Parcells is pissed hes 'dancing with the stars' instead of doing the voluntary offseason workouts in miami, but the thing is taylor committed to the show before parcells even got to miami.
Taylor wants out and so does Parcells, the only reason he's still there is they couldnt get the value they wanted for him.

Taylor today remains a Dolphin despite his wish to play elsewhere.

guys i'm a Giants fan. You are lucky to have Parcells in charge of getting players. He's amazing. He actually has a gift when it comes to selecting players. He'll turn Miami in to a hard nosed physical club that will beat the hell out of most teams in the AFC within 3 or 4 years. The reason he's open to trading Taylor is that he's 33 and by the time Miami is ready to contend for a superbowl he'll be 37.

I was just watching Sportscenter and they brought on John Clayton, and they said Taylor will request a trade at a press conference later today.
Clayton spoke with Taylor's Agent and he's not 'demanding' a trade, 'but reiterating a trade in the best business sense', he's not sure if he will hold out of training camp, but he wants to move on, and it's the best interest for the dolphins to trade him, but he wants out of Miami and will make it clear today.

Jason in his own words
No, he did not demand a trade from the Miami Dolphins. Yes, he wants to play one more season before moving on to an acting career. No, he still hasn't spoken with new Dolphins boss Bill Parcells. Yes, he believes Tony Sparano will be a good coach in Miami. No, he doesn't regret missing workouts to appear on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." Yes, he desperately wants to leave football a winner.
