No, considering its "just" weed, and it's during the offseason.
Now if he had a hard drug or alcohol addiction, then yes, I would think he was nuts for potentially ruining his career.

Well concidering weed is still illegal then I would have to say it was a stupid move on his part.

Marijuana is the closest its ever been to being legalized(california is having a vote to legalize recreational use soon) and 80% of Americans think it shouldnt be illegal and its never killed anyone before its not too big of a deal..I being for the legalization of marijuana see this admission as a good thing for weed (even the best athletes can use it and still succeed)
the number 1 cash crop in the US and the government isnt utilizing all the money that can be made by selling/taxing it..
why was it made illegal in the 1930's? mainly racism
racist political leaders said marijuana made african americans go crazy and rape white women
Once its legalized (which it should be in less than 10 years imo) this will be no big deal

Umm, yes, he's an idiot for how he's handled it. Simply because it's illegal and looked down upon.
Anyway, on it being legalized -- I don't think it should be. However, I also feel alcohol should be prohibited as well. Of course, alcohol will never be prohibited because there are so many addicts and it'd be much worse than the 20's when it was prohibited.
I think it's pathetic that people turn to chemicals (alcohol, weed, harder stuff) to get a 'high', however, I don't mind people that drink occasionally, nor do I mind people who smoke weed occasionally. I do mind potheads and/or alcoholics though. These chemicals are abused more than used in moderation.

I'm starting to feel bad for him.
Yes, he shouldn't have said that but I mean he said he has done it before in the off season. It's really not THAT big of a deal for people to only remember him by "that dude that smokes weed".

when pot becomes 100% legal, socially acceptable across the board and sports franchises allow their players to use it without fine, this will be a non issue, until then it's not, it's not and they dont...he's acting foolishly about this...grow up...

Yes, a stunning lack of maturity. Very alarming and then he follows it up with that kind of performance? Ugh.

I don't think he is crazy, I smoke weed everyday and that doesn't make me a bad person. I go to work everyday(not high) and pay my bills like the rest of you. I do think he went about this situation the wrong way. I hope the move him, Orlando would welcome Josh Howard!

no they wouldn't...the Magic will not bring in a player who has admittedly taken part in the use of marijuana.

are you new to following the Magic? it's the teams DNA it's what this franchise stands for. They refuse to bring in troubled talent, and they definitely will not bring in a pot head...

I would ask your race as a joke, but I'd be worried about getting suspended...

Politicians may have used that as political rhetoric at the time, but that is by no means the reason it's illegal.
