Article talks about how trash talk has begun between the Magic and Detroit after Game 1.

Personally, this is great for the Magic! Theo Ratlif is an idiot. Did he not learn anything from the Deshawn/Lebron Feud? It's never wise for scrubs to irritate star players. If I was Rasheed, I wouldnt be happy that my benchwarming teammate just made my job a whole lot harder!

Orlando just needs to shut up and play and not fire back. Orlando has no room whatsoever anyway to talk anything remotely resembling trash.

Orlando is the one of two teams in the east(Sixers) that are classy and respectable to the game, and if they go down, might as well go down with class.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Magic just need to come out and play THEIR game. It was pathetic how they were playing the Pistons game.

I think it's funny that Ratliff is talking trash considering he's made of glass.

I think Thief is due to make another Samuel Jackson "Unbreakable" picture with Theo.

Rashard Lewis' "come guard me at the 3" comment was BRILLIANT!

He deserves so much credit for what he has done this year. He's had to deal with punks like Ratliff down low all season.

I don't see how Theo is "talking trash". What he's saying is correct. The Magic play 2 Small Forwards in their starting lineup. Doesn't mean they aren't a good team. It just is what it is. Reporters are just trying to stir something up. My guess is the person telling Jameer/Rashard what he said took it completely out of context to get a reaction.

If anything, listen to Stan Van Gundy and Dwight Howard constantly taking shots at how "Dirty" the Pistons are. Van Gundy did the same thing when he was with Miami, and sadly he's turning Dwight on to his whining ways. It's one thing to complain about a particular call on the court. It's another to sneak "how much the Pistons get away with" in every single interview or press conference you do.

I agree its not really trash talk to say a a player is a SF.

Or to say a team that leads the NBA in 3pt shooting and starts a SF at PF is a "finesse" team.

Nothing Theo said was disrespectful at all.

You are really obsessed with Rashard's salary.

he isnt talking trash?!

saying Shard is a 3 is basically saying he could beat his ass if they did fight.. and he called us finesse..cmon.. its not like he stated we had two SF's which is true, he said that when the foul happened

Man maybe Lewis will talk some devastating trash to Rip and call him a SG.

That would really take this "war of words" up a notch.

Nothing the Magic can do about it other than go out and play tough. It's not their fault, but Otis Smith for letting them be a team with no real PF or enforcer. I told you the Pistons would eat them up physically and taunt them mentally on this fact. Thats how th eplayoffs have always been historically, very physical. Now the thing is if Rashard can mentally get PO'd enough to go out and play like a PF and shut the Pistons up.

Seriously, why would the Magic think it's trash talk. For anyone who's played basketball, it's hilarious when you are a PF for the other team to put a guy on you that's a SF and a FINESSE one at that. Theo is a bigman that has PLAYED IN THE PAINT his whole career. He's a bruiser and a rebounder/shotblocker. He's not afraid of a SF that shoots more 3pters than FT's. If Shard were a Bonzi Wells type player (that gets in the paint alot he may have more respect for him). I think calling Shard Finesse is pretty accurate. That's not to take away from his immense talent though.

Is Shard not a 3? Are Magic not a finesse team? Theo said that after Shard tried to act tough and semi-threw him to the ground, and Theo is the one stirring up sh*t? Stop making a mountain out of a molehill.

Pistons fans are probably doing drugs. That is trash talk. He laughed at the thought of Rashard Lewis altercation. You guys are delusional.

Ratliff - 6'10, 235

Lewis - 6'10, 230

LOL.

I can care less if it was trash talk.. its a game, there should be.. but its funny when people try to deny it.

How did Shard act tough? It wasnt even a flagrent, he wrapped his hands around and he came down on his feet.. Maxiell tried to get in his face

NOBODY IS MAD THAT HE CALLED HIM FINESSE.. obviously he isnt a banger or a rebounder.. but when people try to deny that and act like Lewis shouldnt take offense to it is stupid
