Would McCants help?
Chad Ford lists OJ Mayo as the #3 prospect in the draft; T-Wolves have best odds at a #3 pick and no doubt will pick somewhere around there. If Mayo goes to the T-Wolves it could make McCants less of a factor there. He's a 2-guard that plays decent defense and can hit the 3 (he set a franchise record for 3's this season.) McCants also was the leagues 2nd highest scorer off the bench (behind Ginobli.) Anyone's thoughts?

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Kid has his clutch moments so he wouldn't be a bad option. Would definitely take him over Pietrus.

Sure you will always find scrubs & failures in every program(when I was in Chapel Hill ... I though Forte would be a great... at least good one) however I think that UNC is the best program when it comes to producing NBA players. I don't think any other program comes close... then again I might be biased

To be honest, I wouldn't see the point in going after McCants with JJ on the roster. 14.9, 2.7 and 2.2 on a bad team when he has license to shoot as and when he wants to is hardly convincing. Given the minutes and the green light, I think JJ would be just as productive. And much like Redick, he's undersized (although admittedly more athletic), and not a particularly good defender.
I'd like to see us upgrade at the 2, not duplicate what we already have.
