Kirk hinrich

Post#1 » by Magic_believer » Wed May 21, 2008 1:56 am

If the Bulls take Rose with the first pick. Otis should make every effort to get Kirk Hinrich.

He's our big point guard that everyone wants. Trade nelson for Hinrich please.

Neep.

1. Too expensive
2. I like Nelson, he can get it done.
3. Point Guard is not a big concern, shooting guard is.
4. They will probably take Beasley.

Luxury Tax...Luxury Tax...Luxury Tax...

We don't need any more big contracts. Not that I'm a fan, but Tyrus Thomas is a contract that would be friendly to our team.

I would take Hinrich over Nelson 100 times over 100. 2 years ago Hinrich was 17 and 6 playing some of the best defense at his position in the league. I'm not sure what we could offer to get him. He also can play SG and defend Sgs with the best of them.

PG is a HUGE concern, we only have on PG right now, re-signing Dooling is not concrete. The 2 is also a major concern, I would say both are pretty much equal to be quite honest...

We should target Hinrich...

Post#9 » by Pancho_Pantera » Wed May 21, 2008 4:50 am

With the Bulls getting the first pick, it seems like Hinrich is an odd man out, and like Hedo, they will probably(and should) use Hinrich to improve in other areas of the team. We could definitely use Hinrich on this team.

Nevermind there's already a thread. Lock.

I agree they're both important, but equal?

The starter we have at point guard is a lot more solid than anyone we have at SG. Not to mention our starting SG is a free agent, so it's much more in the air.

Why get Hinrich I could understand getting Calderon but not Hinrich. Unless they were just giving him away. Hinrich wasn't the same PG this year as he has been in the past. At one point he even got benched.

Jesus people, I wonder why you still consider options to trade Nelson for anybody. Dwight Howard's best friend is not going anywhere and after our last playoff run I think he's a great fit for this team. Even if we manage to grab a great PG to start over Nelson he'll be our 6 man no mater what.

Deng needs a decent PG to create for him

Someone like Rose is essential to having an efficient Deng

Good PGs dont come available that often

Bulls should take Rose & move Kirk to SG

That sounds like a great ideal for the Bulls. And they really need this PG.

I think that Hinrich would be a great addition.

His contract was front loaded so his salary decreases each year, which would help us in terms of the luxury tax as Lewis' contract shoots to the moon.

This would allow Nelson to move to the 6th man role which suits him better.

The Bulls are looking at having to sign Gordon and Deng to large extensions so they are probably looking to stay under the luxury tax so moving Hinrich for expirings might be the way to go.

I think it was a tough year in Chicago and Skiles is known to grate on his players. I would not be surprised to see Hinrich bounce back next year with a better coach.

This could be a case where a combo of expiring contracts along with a S&T of Garrity (similar to what Dallas did with Van Horn) with a future first might get it done.

hinrich would definately be a solid addition if he is availible... and if the magic are serious about resigning dooling... kirk could play at the same time as keyon and handle the ball and play d on the opposing two guard... hinrich at a reasonable price would be a big offseason pickup because of his ability to play the 1 and the 2
Summertime and the livin's easy....
