carlos boozer and offseason plan

Post#1 » by joshman » Fri May 23, 2008 10:44 pm

they are saying that carlos boozer may be available for a trade this offseason. how about hedo/cook/battie and 2009 and 2011 1st for boozer and millsap

then we sign maggette this offseason for the mle

then we trade redick and 22nd pick to portland for there 13th pick
then we pick eric gordon or if gone nicolas batum from france

then we sign armstrong for the LLE

we then resign dooling

our line up

pg-nelson,dooling,armstrong
sg-maggete,gordon/batum/bogans
sf-lewis,bogans,gordon/batum
pf-boozer,millsap,maybe vazquez
c-howard,gortat,foyle

maybe a pipe dream but thoughts?

Can you imagine

Nelson
Kobe
LeBron
Duncan
Dwight

SICK.

Btw, no offense, but that's a silly trade proposal. When you do a trade proposal, try to look at it from both point of views. Utah would LOL at this trade suggestion.

My question is why would Utah want to trade Boozer anyway?

I like Milsap better in terms of age/contract/potential/mindset. He would compliment Howard better than Boozer.

Whenever I hear Boozer's name I think of two things....

1) Lying to a blind guy.

2) When he let Prince rent his house out and Prince painted the whole entrance purple and Boozer had to threaten to sue him to get it redone.

I laughed my arse off on that 2nd one! I was hoping Chapelle would do a spoof on it like he did with Prince playing basketball and then making the guys pancakes!

And as much as I like Milsap no way we're trading Hedo for just him. No way they're trading Boozer for Hedo IMO...

Line up would be sick though!

According to the reports....because Boozer can opt out of his contract and become a free agent after the upcoming season. And there is some belief that he will leave Utah to sign with the Heat. He has an offseason home in South Florida, and that is where his baby has been treated for his sickle syndrome. And that's exactly the reason I say that the Magic won't trade for him. Because he could leave and go to Miami anyway. It's not like he hasn't done that before. Let him do that to someone else's team.

This actually is not completely ridiculous for Utah. They can move AK47 to the 4 like when he was an All Star for them, and all the guys we'd include are expirings in 09 so they keep the cap room. Hedo would give them a great talent as well, so it's not like they'd enter rebuilding mode. A front court of Lewis/Boozer/Howard is just sick and worth it imo.

How so?

Personally, I think of all the big men in the league, Boozer would be one of the best complements to Howard.

Nothing against Millsap, I'd love to have him, but I just don't see where you're coming from with that.

i wouldn't mind trading hedo for boozer at all actually, i'd get kind of greedy too and ask for cj miles, that kid will be something special if he keeps working on his game

I doubt the Magic would do it unless Boozer extended. Also the Jazz doing this would get a cheaper player in Hedo that they could keep, while also getting 2 future 1st rounders and cap space to sign a big FA in 2009 or 2010. Honestly it would be a good trade for the Jazz if Boozer is going to flat out leave.

same here, except I think that Pau Gasol would make the "perfect" fit, I have said that for awhile, but never thought the Magic would have a chance at getting him, especially for expiring contracts :nonono:

but yea, Boozer is an EXCELLENT compliment to Dwight...

Under enormous media pressure given his previous FA debacle, Boozer has performed. He is a two-time All Star and a legitimate star PF.

Boozer is only 27 and he should remain a 20/10 guy for another 3-5 years.

The Magic would empty their roster for this guy.

A trade involving Turkoglu, Battie-or-Foyle, Redick, Arroyo (SnT) and the Magic first would not be enough to get him though.

But anyone who thinks that the below roster would not be favored to win the East needs to rethink their views on team efforts and player abilities.

PG: Nelson, Dooling
SG: MLE-super-stud, Evans
SF: Lewis, Bogans
PF: Boozer, Gortat
C: Howard, Battie-or-Foyle, Vazquez

That's a dream roster that would win >>60 games.
