Trade idea for Zach Randolph

Post#1 » by NYKH20 » Sat May 24, 2008 4:52 pm

Would you guys do Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins for Battie, Brian Cook, JJ Redick, and the 22nd pick.

What would you give up for Zach?

That's like asking healthy people what they'd give up if they could get Cancer in return.

Yeah I know right. Since those 4 guys are all averaging over 30 minutes a game. And it's not like you guys don't have a legit PF right now next to Dwight Howard. I guess you guys enjoy Rashard Lewis' 110 million contract that gives you 5 rebounds a game.

You are kind of contradicting your self (non)smart guy. Why are you so eager to move him for such crappy players?

Randolph's 84M contract is basically untradeable, given the damage he causes his teams.

You're not getting Battie and a draft pick for him. You're probably not going to be able to trade him at all.

I like Randolph. But we don't need him. Randolph is a 20/10 guy. That's not needed. I'd take a 14/9 guy all day. Randolph would come in and want the ball. He gets his numbers but he semi ball hog. Howard is being developed to be a 30+ ppg guy. And Rashard just got 120 mil. He might want to see the ball a few times a game.

I like halsem. I like Al Thornton. I like Josh Smith. I like Al Harrington. I'd even gamble on Villenueva. Reggie Evans.

we need a person that is a threat but isn't shot crazy IMO. A jump shot would be nice but not necessary. A smart player that hustles every possession. A great defender. One who scores when the opportunity presents itself (offensive rebounds, active feet). Someone whose always thinking "BOX OUT".

Like I said I like Randolph. But he's very focused on himself. He plays hard but with the attitude "I'mma do me. F*ck ya'll" lol...hard 2 win with a guy like that....He needs a mentor...lol

I'll take Rashard and $110 million contract over a guy who is fat, lazy, a known team cancer, and a black hole. But since you were so nice to come over and offer that deal here is a counter offer.

Knicks get:

JJ Redick

S&T Carlos Arroyo

Keith Bogans

Rights to Fran

Magic get:

David Lee

Mardy Collines

That is a deal i think magic fans can live with...

Semi-ballhog? The guy has never passed out of the post. He could be covered by three guys and trapped facing away from the basket, and he'll still try to shoot it. He is one of the worst players in the league at passing out of the post, and he compensates for this by keeping the ball to himself wherever he is on the floor. He's like the dog that likes to play fetch, but doesn't know how to return the ball to the thrower.

I would take Stephon Marbury for 84M over him. I would take Dennis Rodman for 84M over him. I would take Vernon Maxwell for 84M over him. ZR is a capable offensive player for sure, but he's the last guy in the league I would want on this team.

all three of those guys are decent human beings who would do whatever to contribute to the team, as opposed to zach "team cancer" randolph. Id take those three and our 22 pick over him any day.... keep your trash

Resorting to name calling in spanish truly shows how ignorant you are, which explains your original post. Stay in school!
