OT: Dallas courting 2010 AllStar Game. What about us?

Would the new arena be ready for the 2010 asg or would we be set for 2011?
stern promised us an ASG...knowing how he hates the magic..watch him pull a .. yeah i promised you an ASG... WNBA ASG..suckers hahahah

It'd be kind of bad if they scheduled it here for the first year and then the building was delayed, and wasn't ready. I know when I was looking at the early plans for the new arena they said it would be done 2010 maybe 2011, so i wouldn't be surprised if they wait for the building to be complete and do it the next year which will probably be 2011.

I didn't say they wouldn't, I was saying they will but the NBA will probably wait till they know 100% then schedule us for the all star game, which i said in my last post will probably be 2011

Orlando is the anti-Vegas so I don't think Stern's going to renig on his promise.

Um, the arena will opened as schedule for the start of the '10-'11 season so the 2011 ASG would be the earliest we'd get.
I'm expecting 2012 though.

I almost forgot about the new arena, lol. I guess out of sight out of mind. Can't wait for it. Too bad it'll be another two years.

the 2010 all star game is during the 09-10 season, our arena is opening in october 2010 making it the 10-11 season, so the earliest we can have it is the 2011 all star game...i think we will have it in the 2011-2012 season...just our luck isn't the world supposed to end in like 2011? lol

The NBA has a long history of awarding the ASW to teams that build new arenas. Also, Orlando has very good infrastructure to host this event.
