Vujacic SG solution?

Post#1 » by princebaba » Sun Jun 1, 2008 4:39 am

Okay, after watching nearly all the playoff games so far i must say "The Machine" would not be a bad pickup for the magic.
We need a scrappy player that can play defense and spread the floor. From what i have seen he's done a good job at both things for the lakers. Honestly, if we go after someone like Magette our entire offense will be stagnant, since he requires the ball in hand so much to be effective. However, if we can get someone like vujacic he can be great off the bench or even in the starting lineup. He was extremely effective against manu (and don't give me he was the injured story, b/c he had a good games against both the other teams) obviously vujacic was getting to him. And his three point shot is insane, YES i know we have the all amazing JJ Reddick, but vujacic's defense is undeniably on another level. I know he's not a fan favorite, especially outside LA, but i think he'd be a great pickup, just wanted to know what you guys would think. Also, i took into consideration that Dwight will develop some sort of post game and actually demand a good bit more touches as will Rashard.

Lastly, we need some foreigner with long hair, they're required to win a championship. So, lets go after VUJACIC!!!

He will not leave LA, he fits in perfectly with what they're doing, and they will pay him accordingly.

I don't know how much money LA can offer him, especially if they are gonna offer that extension to bynum, and if they are gonna re-sign turiaf?

Look i know the guy is easy to hate, but honestly he is talented.

I like him. I didn't realize until now the guy was 6'7". I'd definitely take him if we could get him.

...He is bad defensivly, and honestly, if you gave JJ the type of minutes he gets, he could double to output... no thanks

No thanks. And like other posters have said, I doubt he leaves LA. He fits in there with all those international players.

Not really, his defense isnt great but it isnt bad. I mean i know Ginobli was hurt in the playoffs but regardless sasha did a good job on him. And i like JJ but hes not 6"7'' Sasha would be a good add to this team, I doubt we would ever see him here but he would be a good add.

He sucks imo. He's not starter material and his defense is extremely overrated. I would still prefer Evans over Vujajic

I'm actually with the guy that said that Redick could be better if given the pt, so I'm going to say no to Vujacic. He is not an improvement over Bogans or Evans either, except that he is young and should continue to develop.

I would love to have him on the bench but he is not a starter. We need a legit starter.

I'd trade JJ for him straight up in a heartbeat. He'd actually get PT, since he isn't a total liability. I wouldn't use a MLE on him or anything, but if we could get him for the LLE. If he is the solution to our SG problem I would definitely decline though. I'd definitely take him if he would take a backup job and we can get a legit starting SG with the MLE and get rid of Evans/Bogans/JJ.
