OT: PENGUINS WIN GAME 5!!!

Post#1 » by EasternMagic » Tue Jun 3, 2008 5:04 am

I know we have a few hockey fans in here. Just wondering if any of you guys watched the game and what you thought. In my mind it was definitely one of the most intense exciting games i have seen in the NHL, and detroits crowd was going off. I think hockey is doing well after all the scare that it was going down.

Really good game, glad the Pens game out with the win. What a clutch goal with only 35 secs from losing. Their goalie was the star of the game.

Also, Crosby pretty much did nothing in the OT periods. He needs to step up his game during elimination.

Huge game for the Penguins....very happy with the result since I'm a huge Penguins fan. Feury saved that game tonight.

Hockey isn't doing well.

Was a good game though.

I watched it starting from the first OT.. Wanted the Wings to win but they should wrap it up in 6.. I thought it was very good, alot of talent was on display for sure.. The Pens goalie was awesome in the OT's..

Boy, I'm very tired after that three over time thriller. I can't believe they tied that up with 35 seconds left, heart breaking to say the least. Fleury was amazing last night. I think he stopped over 50 shots on goal. He clearly won that game for them. I still don't see the Pens winning three in a row though. Detroit has too much speed for them. It can't be done, noway.... I think, I hope, I'm scared. :D

As a proud Pennsylvanian by birth and a huge fan of all of the Pittsburgh teams, it was awesome to see Sid and the boys fight back and not let the Wings wrap it up. Plus, as a Magic fan, it was nice to see someone stick it to Detroit and their obnoxious fans!! All should cheer for the Pens just to shut Detroit up!! :P

It would be extremely hard for the pens to do that, Fleury would have to have the same type of game he had last night, because there were sometimes when detroit was just dominating and i was freaking out, but Fleury was there for the rescue. And Sidney is gonna have to play with more intensity than he did in those overtimes. It would be extremely tough for them to win 3 in a row, but i hope they can lol GO PENS!

i hate Detroit so im glad to see Pittsburgh pull one out...maybe they can go back to their home-ice and pull one out forcing a game 7...anything can happen...corsby does need to step it up though and if he does i think this thing is far from over

Even though I rarely watch hockey, I do hate Detroit and their fans so this works for me.

Flyers fan so I automatically despise Pittsburgh. And the Greek in me loves Chris Chelios so it's a no brainer for me to want the Wings to finish this.

Holy crap, they almost did it again! What a finish to the game, the puck slides right through the crease after closing the lead to one goal. Good job Wings, hockey town gets another one, Woohooo!
