OT: Pistons in frenzy

After reading this it reminds me of the way everyone has been acting since Orlando lost to the Pistons.
Apparently, it's not enough for the Detroit Pistons to win just one NBA title in six trips to the Eastern Conference Finals. Since their loss in Game 6 to the Boston Celtics last week, the word being spoken in Detroit is change -- for the first time since this group of Pistons was assembled.
The question is what kind of change?
Do you fire Coach Flip Saunders? According to both the Detroit Free Press and the Detroit News, no definitive decision has been made on that issue yet. President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars is expected to take a few days to evaluate his team and then meet with owner William Davidson, and if they differ on an approach, Davidson will make the call. Firing Saunders, of course, is not the only option. They coulld let him finish his contract and make a decision after that, extend his contract or give him the opportunity to seek another job, and if he gets one, then replace him. Assistant coach Michael Curry appears to be being groomed as Saunders' eventual successor, and there were reports that the Pistons denied requests for at least one other team to interview him about its coaching vacancy. But he has spent only one season on the bench as an assistant coach. Is Curry ready to take over a team still expecting to play for titles?

When have I not supplied a link?
BTW - you can only quote 3 or 4 paragraphs.
Just wondering, why are you quoting a blogger? Isn't that what you call Schmitz as a seeming insult?

I'm personally shocked. Of course who knows what type of roster moves they are going to make. Maybe Flip was just a case of inheriting a good team? Maybe he couldn't keep his team focused or the Pistons ego beat themselves.
Maybe I'm right. Maybe the Magic will never have to beat Detriot to move on. Maybe Detriot will beat themselves. Again...maybe I'm right.

So you didn't notice that I backed up the blogger with article from AP. Next time take your time before responding and you will get it right.
In response to the last poster you are right the Pistons could end up doing to themselves that Magic couldn't do in the playoffs beat them. The Pistons may end up beating themselves.

I guess he lost the "ear" of his players.
Maybe, just maybe, the roster needs to be altered dramatically....before it's too late.

Seems to be the trend these days for players to decide who they want to listen to and who they don't.

i'd actually be scared if Dumars started making drastic moves. the things he does subtly seem to shake our world entirely, so god knows what he could do if he really want to shake things up.

Looks like if the Pistons don't draft right there could be more heads off and not just the Head Coach.

We should be doing everything in our power to get Prince. He is going to be a dominant force defensively for the next 8-10 years and is exactly what we do not have. Trade Hedo+JJ+Pick+whatever to get this guy but he is the most underrated player in the league.
Magic up 3-1 on Detroit, Prince shuts down T-Mac and no one else on the team is good enough to step up. Detroit wins. Even this year, he hits the game winner in game 4 & then has the game saving block on Hedo in game 5 to win the series. The block he had on Reggie in the playoffs.
I am sure I a missing a ton of plays but that is all the guy does...he makes plays.

Dumars pretty much implied that anything is possible.
Detroit is at a crossroads, and very soon, before they get old and then left with an empty bag.
It'll be interesting.

Another blown draft by us... We drafted Ryan Humphrey with the 19th pick, and there was the Pistons, nabbing him at 23.
I was beside myself when we didn't draft him...
