Shouldn't be that big of a shock. Its not like he will get paid less. Otis said he would be surprised if Foyle opted out. Fact is he probably can get 1 million a year to play somewhere else. He obviously can see that he was not in the plans by his lack of PT in the playoffs.

Dwight
Tony Battie
Marcin Gortat
Brian Cook
We probably will definitely need 1 more body just in case of injury if Shard is the starting PF. If Shard is going to start at SF, then we desperately need 2 more big guys.
The thing is...
That list is currently better than the list we had this season.
2008 Dwight > 2007 Dwight
Tony Battie > Every other big guy we have
Gortat > Foyle (Proved in playoffs)
Healthy Brian Cook > Broken Brian Cook

I am shocked by him opting out, but I am very happy to see he did...
I am hoping Drew Gooden get KeBo to opt and move over to Chi Town..Or for Otis to trade him to one of Minnie/Sea/Port for 2 seconds... anything can happen but as of now our roster looks like this...
Nelson
Bogans/JJ
Hedo
Lewis/Cook
Howard/Battie/Gortat
That leaves 6 open spots
1 draft pick
MLE
Bi Annual
LLE
still leaves 2 spots
and even if we bring back one of Evans or Dooling there is still ANOTHER SPOT...
Then, let us not forget Bogans can opt out, or be traded..(I am hoping for the later)
Also, JJ still kinda wants out and kinda wants to stay so he could be gone too...
This team could have 6 to 8 NEW faces on the roster next year...wow..

I was hoping that he would stay as an assistant to Ewing, but I'm happy that he is opting out. With Foyle, Garrity, and Auggie gone, we already got better without adding anyone to replace them. Hmm, maybe two bigs in the draft is exactly what the doctor ordered. Hibbert or Koufos and Dorsey or White, sounds good to me.

I actually like Foyle. He's so tough and willing to take a beating from anyone. He must have hurt for days after the beating he took from Shaq. I even got some giggles from times when he would get the ball in some spectacular defensive play and then drop it or throw it away. I wouldn't want to see him in the game any longer than than he was last year, but he did decent service in that time.
It would be nice to have him on the bench, but he's not going to get much play here next year.

he still must be really pissed about not getting PT
looks like we need add a couple of more big bodies up front
he gave the Warriors a huge discount on his buyout because he really wanted to play for the Magic
Adonal is very popular with Warrior fans. In fact, he was given a standing O when the Magic came to Oakland
unfortunately, he really isnt very good as a player
