yay or nay?

Change is difficult

Its way nay until they do the following:

1. Put the quick reply option back.

2. Get rid of the post review feature.

3. Make the quoted posts more visible.

4. Make it where you dont have to sign in everytime.

5. Make the topics on the forum more visible and less cluttered, its hard to read.


I will repeat, the post review feature is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy annoying.

Ok so i just replied to this post.... And it didnt show.... so im not liking this upgrade... BTW dont like the post review either...

I'm going to wait on judgement.

PHPbb 3 is downright horrible in it's original looks. I I just hope they find a way to build a skin that resembles the old realGM.

Plus, the new slider on top is horrible.... it just makes the top of the page too big and we have to scroll down a lot until the posts... every time we change a page it looks like we left the forums and went to the front page of the site.

phpbb 3 brings a lot of good things for the administration (control panel), and it corrects many bugs and safety holes in the previous versions, but I never understood how could they change the way it looks to something so horrible.

I fear change, and I miss the quote boxes. Its too hard to differentiate your posts from the person your responding to. And I don't mind the new color scheme, but I liked the old site better. This feels like my first post, oy.

I like how the ads are 2x bigger now. Owner must be ballin right about now;)

Oh, and what the hell is a lead assistant? What post count gets you back to being a realgm?

lol, true, but the adblock plus with element hider on firefox makes wonders to the layout of the board.

This is pretty terrible. I forget if this is a default skin for this forum software, but it sure looks like it is; which makes this huge forum look pretty amateur/cheap.

They should've spent some time better skinning the forum before upgrading. I'm sure one day we'll login and see a new style loaded though. *waits*

EDIT: I am digging the new levels to become a realgm, half the site was a realgm before. Though, I'd like to know the cut off points.

Once they fix the quick reply (why would they go live without it on?) and change up the style fixing the quote transparency I'll be happy even if it doesn't look like the "old" forum.

Generally people hate it when forum software is switched up, I've done it at work and it almost makes you feel bad, lmao, but they get over it.

I really really really really dont like this new layout at all! oh well, nothing i can do to change it back

The only feature I like is you can posts in the other sports message boards that Real GM offers. Other than that, I think it looks crap. But that's probably because I'm not used to it. Also, The replies along with the sig and username info is way too cluttered.

Not gonna lie. It looks like crap.

Yay. And the reason for number 2 is so that people won't have to go back and edit their posts when they see problems with how they wrote out something or their spelling. I think that is a great feature you can find that at many sites who have upgraded and did it right. Fl Today did some of this, but they didn't include any of the old threads or posts so everyone had to start over, plus they made everyone re-register some of the many reasons why that forum is on life support. RealGM got it right some people are just not used to the new setup, but once they get use to it they will see just how easy it is to use and how fast the pages load like after you post anything. I am a loving this whole new format. WTG RealGM.

This is the third time I've tried to reply here. It is rubbish and they need to get the old boards back! Absolute dross..
