Every time I see THIEF'S avatar, I think of the movie. Well I saw it over the weekend and was blown away by how good it was! Intense graphics, superb acting, great plot and cool cameos. The best of the Marvel movies by far IMO.

THIEF, did you see it? What did you think?

Anyone else see it? Comments, thoughts?

I have seen this movie....and it was awesome. Way better than the last remake.

The movie had a lot of good action and Edward Norton was a great Bruce Banner. I got very excited about the Avengers reference at the end of the movie and hope that they do make Hulk sequels based off of this movie.

All around very good fun movie and worth going to see.

Can you tell me who the ORIGINAL team of Avengers were?

I was attempting to explain this to my girl, and couldn't remember all of them/ stuck a few of the New Avengers in there.

For what it is worth, DON'T see The Happening. Awful. Simply awful. Waste of time and money.

The Incredible Hulk makes the first remake seem like it was made by a bunch of amateur college kids. And by the way scholarly, I am honored to be quoted.

I have never liked this writer director! He thinks he's so myseterious when he's as transparent as plastic wrap!

Sorry you wasted your funds! Hopefully you just snuck into another movie to get your $ back!

The Hulk was beyond a solid flick as Norton and Liv Tyler made one hell of a combo. Got more than my money's worth of action too.

Better than Indiana Jones, but not as good as Iron Man in my opinion. No complaints, but counting down the days until Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.

C'mon Raistlin, I would have hoped you'd be up on this movie too. Transforers 2 comes out June 26, 2009. If you want a sneak peak at filming, there's some vids on youtube. Not really spoiler material, but if you dig around too much, you may learn more than you want...

Also, sorry to hijack your Hulk thread.

Totally cool to hijack it for the Transformers!

I didn't even want to know until it was close to the time at first. I'm a huge fan of the Transformers, and when I heard it would be delayed by the writers strike I was bummed.

glad to hear it is '09 last I heard it was 2010!

Oh wow. The original Avengers? Um...I'm thinking Iron Man, Hulk, Wasp, Ant-Man, and Thor? And I think pretty shortly after that Capt. America replaced Hulk.

Sweet! Thanks! I totally missed Wasp as well as Ant-Man and had Cap in there as well.

Hulk wasn't too bad, but for some reason no matter what they do with Marvel movies, they always feel hollow, and never particularly stylised.

Batman Begins, Sin City, 300.... THAT is how a comic should be adapted.

That said, i wasn't disappointed with the Hulk, just wasn't really impressed.

and the Happening was a wasted idea. it had so much more potential. it's obvious Shyamalan's script editors are just paid to blow smoke up his ass.

X-Men was pretty good... no Gambit, though...

I feel ya on what you're saying about the Marvel Movies. I thought the best example of that to me was Iron Man. Loved the cast, but it seemed to me alot of that movie got left somewhere on the editing floor or something. All of the movies are like this to a certain extent, but Iron Man is more fresh in my mind... I still liked all the acting and thought the plot was a little more detailed in the hulk.

As for The Happening...

I haven't watched a Shyamalan movie since I told my friend what happened in The Village without ever seeing it. He was stunned, but I wasn't because the guy IMO is a douche. He thinks his ideas are so original, but they're not, again IMO...

Only movie I liked of his was Invincible, and that was soley because of Jackson, and comic book heroes.

Sixth sense was okay but I knew Bruce Willis was dead when the kid told him he sees dead people at the very beginning.

yeah, Iron Man was really good. it felt like it lacked maybe one more good fight scene. you know, to really draw out the threat of that other exoskeleton at the end. but otherwise, i totally dug it. the start was sensational. acting was superb. effects kicked ass. but sadly i'd never compare it on level with the movies i mentioned before.

and with Shyamalan, i actually love his movies and love his style. if the village hadn't actually had "fake monsters" and they weren't inside a stupid compound, it would've been awesome and haunting. but he's so fixated on his big twists and dominating his stories with love interests, that it just ruins the rest of the plot for me. Lady In The Water is probably in my top 5 all time favs because he didn't cheat the ending of that one.
