Man watching all those Celtic fans celebrating is really making me excited for next season. I want that feeling, I want to be so happy for my team which I supported since I was a kid. I want to cry with tears of joy. PLEASE MAGIC PLEASE give me that feeling next year.

God to see, Dwight Howard and Shard holding that trophy would be amazing, maybe one day
the battle continues

I was telling my dad I want that feeling of winning a championship the whole fourth quarter through the trophy presentation. I'm so pumped for next year now, forget the Celtics, I don't think I will sleep tonight either thinking about the Magic next season. I have that empty feeling in my stomach seeing the Celtics win and hearing the fans chanting "17!" Just give me one title to start with! Now we have to wait another 3 months or so before the season starts. This is always the saddest day of the year where you become nostalgic and look back on the season.
I will say this though... Dwight will not have to wait as long as Kevin Garnett to win a title!

Better push for Otis to trade for a couple more Hall of Famers and then get two or three more guys whose teams have been at least through the conference finals to sign for the minimum then. Oh yeah....and forget about that staying under the luxury tax stuff. You need at least a $75 million payroll, too. It took all that for the Celtics to win it all.

Your gonna have to wait for Howard to fully mature offensively for us to get that. Hopefully it happens sooner than later. It all depends on him and I pray he works on that jump shot and free throw in the offseason cause Hedo and Lewis ain't elite but Howard is. It's all on him In Dwight We Trust.

This Boston path is the sam Miami took some years back. Is it worth selling out future chances to win a title to win "only" one? Yes (of course).
But GM Smith is following a San Antonio/Detroit model. He is trying to build a solid, long-term team. And Orlando is almost there at this point. Sign one free agent guard at the MLE. And get one of those aging vets at the PF, whose dying to win a title, at the vet min, and the Magic are as good as any other team.

As long as Stern is still at his throne, next year's title already belongs to the Lakers.

I know, watching the Magic commercial brought that fuzzy feeling in my stomach and I told my wife, how much I missed my Orlando Magic. She ofcourse looked at me like I was a criminal or something.

Just cant wait. We wont win the Championship next year but anything less than the eastern finals is not acceptable.

I can't believe Doc Rivers won a championship before we did.

We just need Stern to pull for us.
Or we need a former player or GM to throw us a lopsided deal to put us over the top.
Then we can discuss titles.
We either need Stern, the refs, or a favor from another team to do any damage in todays NBA.

The good news is that Doc will get a huge extension with Boston now.

And all of the NBA analysts are saying that Doc outcoached Phil Jackson, too.
Maybe you guys have been too hard on Doc. Maybe Doc's problem was his roster and not his coaching. You've got to admit....Some of those teams sucked.

^ Yeah, but Doc had a pretty Ham fisted-heavy hand in the draft/trade process... remember he's the one that said let's keep this tea drinking bloke and send this chump Wallace to the pistons for that guy getting off the plane on crutches!
He also wanted either Gaines, Sasser or both IIRC...

We would need mad trades then.
Get Dwyane Wade here!!!!!!
With this current roster moving out of the 2nd round won't be possible.

From what I understand, that stuff about Ben is not true. It was propaganda spread after Doc was fired.
As I understand it, the Magic wanted to reward Bo for his years of being paid under market value and it came down money-wise to paying Bo or Ben. They could not afford to keep both and pay them because the rights to one of them had to be renounced to have enough money under the cap to pay Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady as free agents. Doc did his best to talk Ben into playing for a smaller salary that summer, but he would not agree to it. Once they realized they would not be able to get Ben to sign for cheap and he was going to be included in the sign-and-trade for Hill, the Magic knew they still needed another big so then Doc pushed to get Amaechi to re-sign then. If Ben had agreed to pay for less, Amaechi might not have been re-signed if he hadn't agreed to play on a small contract. That was my understanding.
