POR/ORL

So I'll start off saying im biased in this proposal
But Portland wants a SF and a veteran and we wont be able to afford Hedo so....

Por- 13th pick plus a 2nd,Jack,Outlaw or Webster
Orl- Hedo and Bogans

With the 13tht pick we could Gallinano or a big
22nd BPA
2nd round pick i would want Giddens but BPA

I know ppl here love hedo as do i but im worried about how much he'll want and catching the turkaFLU
So we get nothing but startes if Jack beats out Nelson. All these guys are still young and Outlaw and Webster are still getting better.
I also dont see Battie as a savior for us.

PG-Nelson, Jack, LLE (J.Williams?)
SG- Webster, JJ, Giddens? or MLE
SF- Lewis, Galliano?, Webster MLE
PF- Battie, Outlaw, Speights? Dorsey?
C- Howard, Gortat. Pick?

It sounded like Portland would trade Outlaw to Memphis for Miller and I think that Hedo is a better overall player than Miller. Plus I think Hedo would allow Portland to play Roy at the PG spot and have Fernandez at the SG spot.

I am surprised that there has been no talk about the Magic making any moves, particularly with Hedo. As much as I am glad that he had a great year I am a little skeptical if it will work long-term with Lewis at the PF spot or with a potential move to the SG spot. Plus Hedo could opt-out of his deal and leave the Magic with nothing to show for it.

This trade would upgrade the Magic's PG spot with a Jack/Nelson combo and Outlaw could be a great 6th man. With the 13th pick they could draft Rush and give him the SG spot and with the 22nd pick get a big man like Speights or Arthur that would be the PF with the size and mid-range game that would complement Dwight for the next decade. Depending on the 2nd round pick (either 33rd or 36th) the Magic could draft the BPA like a Bill Walker or maybe Nicolas Batum.

This trade would replenish the young talent on the team while move Lewis back to his natural SF spot. Some might be worried that this trade could result in a move back next year but I think it would be a great move for the future of the franchise and its push for a championship.

Ya i agree i think ppl will worry about us taking a step back. Bc Hedo was our best player and 4th quarter guy. I think with the editions we will be set for the future and Lewis might do better and pick up more slack at the 3 and become an all star again. Outlaw is versatile and could be a good 6th man.
With our current roster with minimal additions in the draft and FA i dont see us improving much more then last year. Good but not championship

Shoooot,

Nelson/Dooling/Jack
Rush(13th)/JJ Redick
Rashard Lewis/Travis Outlaw
Battie/Dorsey/White/Hendrix(2nd rounder)/Cook
Dwight/Hibbert/Gortat

um yea, I would probably do that...

Do u think we would bring back Dooling (assuming he wants to) if we made this trade?

we need a 3rd PG, so I would assume they would shoot for him...give him a good chunk of the MLE and im sure he would come back...

yea......Hedo for Outlaw, Jack, #13 (Rush), and a second rounder (Dorsey) would be hard to pass up.

Ya but i dont think he comes back. And I'd rather have Jason Williams who will be much cheaper and has said he wants to come here. If his knees check out.
I think this deal would be to hard to pass up with the talent we would receive. On paper at least.

I love Lee, but we should focus on free big man depth if we land a quality 2g, if we were going to undoubtedly move JJ than yea, but the issue is you have 2 rookies running your wing...for whatever reason i cannot edit my post, but I had us also picking up Stackhouse at the 2 for the LLe...

dont you mean "has said"? he never actually uttered those words as far as we know...and we wouldn't need him with Nelson and Jack, Dooling gives the team diversity and size at the one, and with 3 solid players at the 2, we could keep Dooling at the one...IMO it would be the best option really...

Nelson/Dooling/Jack
Rush/Redick/Stackhouse
Shard/Outlaw/Stackhouse
Battie/Dorsey/Cook
Dwight/Hibbert/Gortat

that's a very solid and diverse team imo...idk...obviously the rooks are question marks, but still...young, athletic, good shooters, rebounding, defense, inside outside, very well balanced roster...

I'd like Stackhouse for the LLE
And i agree with Thief i wouldn't want 2 rookie 2 guards. At 22 i'd want a big. As one is likely to fall there.
And now that Batum is cleared to play i wouldn't mind taking him

I don't know, I think Webster is going to blow up Arenas style. I would almost rather have him than Outlaw...

Although, maybe we could talk Travis into wearing #45, then we could have a #45 Outlaw jersey in every style we've worn...

That lineup would be beastly. I love Hedo but I'd be lying if i said i dont have any doubt he could reproduce the same game he had last season. Seeing as this trade probably wont happen, I hope Hedo can..

That looks sweeeeeeeet. I would kiss Otis's feet every day if he managed to put that roster together.

ok i didn't think of it like that. And Dooling is better defensively.
And i see Webster being a good solid starter. Idk about Arenas style however.
I dont see Hedo getting traded however.

thats about the truest thing you will see in this thread...I love Hedo to death, I bought his jersey this last season, but if a deal like this came along you would seriously have to consider it...however, in the ultimate scheme, Orlando keeps their man, he became an untouchable this last season...

We stuck with him through his several seasons of Turkoflu ;-)

Seriously, if an offer to drastically improve the team involving anyone not name Dwight, then you seriously consider it.
